Yep there is a huge potential and Japan's help will certainly transform the region
I expect better ties among India and Japan in the coming years
When the core sector in India improves it will be a great boost to the Indian economy
Shinzo and Modi should take this relationship further ahead
there is so much we can collaborate on be it infrastructure, education, culture, defence and what not :)

My friend, i dream of one day being able to take HSR from Dhaka to New Delhi, Rawalpindi, and Gwadar.

It may seem impossible now, but i believe it is inivetible. There was a time when people thought it would be impossible that China would industrialize , and to men from 1970s, they would have never have dreamed of China's success now. That is why I believe Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, too, will be transformed.

Plus, come on! Pakistan (180 million) + India (1.2 billion) + Bangladesh (150 million) + Sri Lanka (20 million) = Massive Market Opportunity of over 1.5 Billion ! And this number will only grow.....;)

There definitely is a paradigm shift for Japan, in regards to investments. For a long time, Japan has focused investments in East Asia (China, Taiwan, Korea), as well as North America and Europe. Now , Japan is reorienting its interest in a vast and largely untapped region: South Asia.

As you may or may not already know, there is a growing economic cooperation between Bangladesh, India, and two countries in South Asia that will be target of greater Japanese investment will include : 1) Pakistan and 2) Sri Lanka.

This paradigm shift has been seen this year in : 1) Japan's pledge to invest $35 Billion in India, and 2) Japan's increaed of auto technology and manufacturing in Pakistan. These are just the beginning , my friend. The future is bright for more investments for South Asia's two great nations.

For comparative purposes here, the cumulative Japanese investment in China (from Deng Xiaopeng to now) exceeds over $900 Billion , not including the grants, and aid provided to China , which would easily put the amount of capital Japan has placed in China at over $1 Trillion.

Seeing as how South Asia is becoming ripe for investment, I believe Japan will tap into this fertile ground. Japan's recent pledge to invest $35 Billion in India early this year is , as i said before, just the tip of the iceberg. South Asia will be transformed for the better. And as all partners work together to exterminate terrorist threats, then the sooner we can expedite the realization of greater investments in the region. Afterall, it is no secret that Japan is planning to move production facilities from China to South Asia and ASEAN.

:)

One has to be pragmatic , my friend. Take comfort in knowing that this year, Pakistan's projected growth rate stands at 4.7%. Remember, gradual and continued growth is better than fast and unstable.

Despite the security risk assessment in Pakistan, despite its war on terrorism, her economy is growing very well. Expect growth rate and investment opportunities to increase as these terror cells are eradicated once and for all.
Have no doubt on Indo Japan Co operation. We have land , Japan have money , we both like each other ! What else do we need ? Let the flood gate open . Australia America Japan will deviate from China very soon and converge towards Hindustan . Japanese are very inelegant , innovative and hard working people like Indians . We both share great respect . Abe and Modi will take our cooperation to a new level . Good thing about India is her heart .

The reason American's like me come to India :3 as here we have huge market and people who have money have lot to spend and they are ready to do it, you can sell anything here. I got my design studio up since 2010 here and its reaching new heights every year, now we are even getting into governmental orders and I got 2 Japanese Interns who used to study at NID here ;) they are pretty good.

Dhaka,India HSR is possible but I don't think Pakistan will ever be a part of it
I wish you are correct but I ain't sure

Pakistan is alienating itself from India with each passing generation.......this generation hates India a lot and are not willing to compromise.....and India on the other hand will not negotiate the K thing at any cost but let's just hope what you are saying comes true

Back to the topic :pop:

Don't worry Bro we are already 1.25 billion .We will reproduce even more just to compensate your losses .:p:

.
I don't think Pakistan japani bhai bhai will continue once Chinese pass the order ..

So Hindu Japanese bhai bhai ... :D

We cannot say that, what Nihonjin said is right even Pakistan is growing but at a very slow rate and we never know what is gonna happen next, therefore companies are reluctant to invest, people are reluctant but I am sure in future they may do and also lets keep it Hindi not Hindu as its India

Sir,

I am a Ph.D candidate in Industrial / Organizational Psychology specializing in Risk Assesment / Quantitative Analytics. Throughout the doctoral program i am in, ive taken classes with and researched with South Asian doctoral candidates. Many of whom are like me, H1B visa holders, and they come from Pakistan, or India . Ive one good friend who is a Ph.D student in economics (he's Pakistani) and 2 good colleagues from India, both working on their Ph.D in Industrial Engineering. From personal experience of working with South Asians in the academic setting --- i have no doubt of the capability of India and Pakistan societies to succeed.

:)

True, one thing I noticed when I came for US - Japan Student exchange program as I told you earlier, In Japan people are always in a race to create something, specially they tend to be better than rest so they make things better. Also, in design aspect, they are quite innovative. Have to agree that in US and Japan we have a lot of money spent on R&D if same amount of Money was spent in India (Do not know about Pakistan) the Kids here can create amazing stuff, there brain works in a very simple way, they tend to solve things easily, we try to put in buttons in every design they do that thing is a easier mechanical way :p
