India must acknowledge the scale of its COVID-19 crisis. Lowering case numbers artificially by testing less or hiding COVID deaths, will only be counterproductive. That is why the government needs to own up to its mistakes and learn from them.
Fudging the numbers and skewing the data is part of Modi economics...now using here the same model of fudging death counts.

The problem for India is that the virus is now in its villages and rural areas. A lock down will now push the variant further into its heartlands.
Truly sad situation they are in because of poor mismanagement.
I have not time for the Indian goverment, or the Indian "establishment", but i will confess to being truly saddened for the normal hardworking India who lives day by day every day and now is faced with this situation..
And, I pray, that this does not go into Pakistan either.
