Indians knew about gravity before Newton: Isro ex-chief

Have no doubt that there were civilisations before us, which were far more developed, but to myopic and ignorant ppl, such things are a part of "mythology".
Yes i agree with you on this point there were lots of civilization far more advanced than us .... But still lets not take away the credits from newton ... he has done remarkable job .

Not surprised at all!!
Scientists today have not been able to decode the mystery of pyramids nor have they been able find the secret formula of the non rusting compound used in a pillar (at Qutab Minar, which btw is 1000yrs old) but they 've the audacity to laugh at the scientists of past.

What mystery they did not decode? of how those were made? I'll suggest you to stop watching 'Ancient Aliens' and start reading scholarly articles published on the pyramids or on those alleged super duper civilisations. Their is no mystery on how the pyramids were made, and the only reason architects and engineers do not want to attempt them erecting today is because they (the pyramids) are worthless as buildings to live or store anything.

Regarding the 'secret formula of the non rusting compound used in a pillar'...

Only metals rust, for they oxidize due to their reaction with the oxygen in the atmosphere. As far as the secret recipe of the material used is concerned, even a degree college lab can decode elements by employing various simple tests. The percentage of individual elements can also be found using a combination of tests. After all whatever elements used were present on the earth hence present on the periodic table.

Please understand that a technology never goes extinct but either gets developed into a better technology or replaced by the better one.

India knew about Gravity and lot more about the universe Long ago before these so called western civilized guys came into contact with ancient Indian scriptures.

From the article "Even for Charndrayaan the equation from Arya Bhatta was used, sums up it well"

Far more developed than us? Really? Did they have computers, electricity grids, air conditioning, aircrafts, antibiotics, just to name a few things? If not, by what yardstick were they more advanced than our present civilization, in science and technology?

Nobody is making fun of ancient scientists - we are only making fun of people who make ridiculous claims about the past.

gravity is the most obvious thing ever, some ancient Indian could well have worked out the math way back.. :D
Not possible, for reasons mentioned in post #5. The concept of "force" had not been invented. There are other ways to describe physical phenomena, in terms of something other than forces. But that equation for the universal law of gravitation is expressed in terms of force.

How the stones were moved across the desert has been described as a mystery. It was only last year that they came up with the currently accepted explanation:

How did Egyptians build the pyramids? Construction mystery solved after University of Amsterdam wet sand experiment - Mirror Online
Mystery Of How The Egyptians Moved Pyramid Stones Solved | IFLScience
Is the mystery of how the Egyptians built the pyramids solved? | Daily Mail Online

There is nothing mysterious about the pyramids themselves.
