I would say the poor Afghans were lucky to be spared. Not the warriors I am alluding to. Zia was planning something big and beyond your capacity to handle.
Like I said; India is lucky.
It doesn't matter who's the Majority, nobody is special. This is India. Here you follow Indian Constitution. And Jammu and Kashmir is given autonomy to choose, they chose to ban cow slaughter, so be it.
Lol. Must be the most unique reason in the world to want "independence"

Poor Afghans are legendary warriors who frustrated the British, USSR and now NATO. They would have punctured your forces in Kashmir in a span of a year or two.I would say the poor Afghans were lucky to be spared.
Lol. All that would be needed is a deployment of a few hundred Gurkhas and the Afghan "warriors" would be running back to their caves with their tails between their legs.Poor Afghans are legendary warriors who frustrated the British, USSR and now NATO. India doesn't have the economic and military muscle of a superpower. Should India find itself in managing an extremely costly occupation, it won't last long in this capacity. This isn't a question mark on the professionalism of armed forces of India, but a ground reality. Imagine loosing costly equipment (Tanks; Jets; Armored Vehicles; etc) and troops to seemingly relentless and unstoppable militias on a daily basis - asymmetry becomes too hard to handle after a while.
Lucky India.

Lucky Afghans should thank their stars.
Who is stopping you?Try it
Who is stopping you?
I just wanna see the scenario you painted.
Go ahead. Try.
You can thus complete the 2.5 dream.
Dude, you have a very rudimentary and shortsighted view of these matters.Lol. All that would be needed is a deployment of a few hundred Gurkhas and the Afghan "warriors" would be running back to their caves with their tails between their legs.

As I said, send them in. Today, tomorrow - whenever you are ready. The link is self explanatory as to what a single Gurkha can do to 30 Afghan "warriors"

And apparently it happens quite often

So it seems the "warriors" either run away or lose their heads.

Russians brought their Spetnaz to Afghanistan.
British brought their SAS to Afghanistan.
Americans brought their Navy Seals to Afghanistan.
Their Special Forces won again and again, to no avail.
Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark.
Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so nevermore shall we see you again.
Death by a thousand cuts.
If Indians feared any Pakistani, it was Zia-ul-Haq.
On a side note: I have high opinion of Gurkha - very capable fighters.
Lol. Who made that rule? You?Whose stopping you then?
You wont become a super power unless you been to Afghanistan as per accepted rule.
So do try and have a go at it.
