Yesterday after the defeat of Indian Cricket team in the World Cup semifinal A certain "Voice of the Nation" tried to blame the team for poor performance and went so far as to demand Dhoni's sacking. As is their usual practice Times Now tried to start a twitter trend with #ShamedinSydney

But Arnab and Times Now misread the whole situation. the Indian fans support their team whole heartedly. One defeat after a string of great performances throughout the cup does not make the team bad. The fans responded by their own hashtag. Soon #ShameonTimesNow was trending globally. The Indian Fan had spoken. He is in full support of the team and wont like some media house to bring the team down for the sake of TRPs

I like this interesting contrast with our nieghbours. In Pakistan people broke their TV sets. In Bangladesh everyone from Prime Minister down started crying conspiracy. And here in India the people responded with faith in their team even after a defeat.

Even the reaction of the leaders were different. Bangladesh PM started saying ICC cheated while in India both the President and Prime Minister congratulated the team for the performance and wished them luck for the future

looks like your argument has been dissected and demolished - judging by the post just after yours

Not everyone in Pakistan "broke their TV sets" - just the overly emotional ones. I had a strong cup of tea, said "**** this" and turned the tv off and went to sleep.

South Asians have a problem of channeling anger in bad, destructive ways sometimes. Others just point fingers and vilify teams when they play shitty, then greet them as heros when they win games. Too much emotion.

Austalia is a very strong team -- all around. Good fielding, bowling and batting.

World Cup: Twitter goes berserk after Virat Kohli falters in tall chase

ndian fans reacted in anger and dismay on social media after star batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed for 1 in his team's tall run chase of 329 against Australia in the second semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup on Thursday.

Many of the ardent fans, who were expecting a special innings from Kohli at the Sydney Cricket Ground, showed their displeasure on Twitter.
ALSO SEE Kohli was out for 1

India went off to a sedate start chasing a target of 329 runs but Johnson struck with the ball by removing Kohli and Rohit to give the hosts the upper-hand.

Kohli misjudged a short ball from Aussie pacer Mitchell Johnson and top-edged it straight to Brad Haddin.

The Delhi batsman's girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who was cheering for her man from the stands, became the butt of many jokes.

Earlier, powered by a 182-run stand between Steven Smith (105) and Aaron Finch (81), Australia reached a strong total of 328 for 7 in 50 overs.

The significant second-wicket partnership proved to be the difference between a modest and a big total with Smith scoring his fourth One-Day International (ODI) century to post the first 300 plus total in a World Cup semifinal.

These are men playing in the international arena, should not act like a bunch of sissies running to mommy crying, " Mommy Mommy the Australians were mean to us. "

Come on people .

If they played 50% like bangali team India would be world champion but kiya karain , Umpire tried to cheat but third umpire gave out correctly
