We Should immediately close down this visa centre. I know Indian hospitals heavily depend on Bangladeshi patients since majority of their shit eating and piss drinking ppl r too poor to afford any medical treatment. We should stop throwing money in their begging bowl and improve the condition of our own hospitals.
Are you serious ? Well can Bangladeshi hospitals provide such treatment that chennai and valor provide? Let's talk about contact lens. For keratoconus patients ( I am not sure how many folks know about keratoconus) , it's mandatory to wear Rgp (rigid gas permeable) contact lens ( if you want to see this world) and even few years ago this was unavailable in Bangladesh.
Recently in few hospitals they are providing though.
I have a friend who has the severe eye problem, he has
advanced stage of keratoconus. One year ago he took " rose k 2" contact lens ( special contact lense made for keratoconus ) from BD eye hospital in dhanmondi , but before it he used to visit India for such contact lens.
So if we stop sending patients to India, what will happen to that man who can't read a single word without contact lens ( not fashionable but minimum normal Rgp, and also special Rgp like rose k), Even he can't recognize his parents from 12-15 feet distance without wearing contact lens .
Would he quite his study forcibly in his student life? Will he be compelled to leave his job if he can't see? He has family, a wife and a kid, will Bangladesh govt feed him, or provide necessary support to his family for free, if he has to quite job because Bangladesh can't provide him necessary treatment, but if we stop sending patients) ,because of such jingoistic hype of Bangladeshi folks against India ( as well as Pakistan for many chetona guys)? He needs to change contact lenses every year, as you can use same lenses for 2,3 years but it's not recommended by doctors , so changing it every year is advised by doctors.
However he used to wear "kerasoft" contact lens ( a special and bigger soft contact lens that is an alternative for Rgp contact lenses; Rgp contact lenses have some draw backs as they slowly may create spot on cornea and may force peoples to cornea transplant at a stage, but in BD eye hospital, they even haven't heard of this "keratsoft" but advertising shamelessly that they have opened a new window in Bangladesh for solid treatment of keratoconus) .
So now this friend again decide to visit India either to take "kerasoft contact lense" or to take "scleral contact lenses".
And
scleral lenses are only available in chennai ( as far he was told one year ago) , so he is preparing to get either of them.
So if we close visa center or even all visa process, maybe Indian hospitals will suffer slightly as we are good in number for them , but what will happen to those peoples who can't get proper treatment of big disease in Bangladesh even with high cost?
Peoples can argue about many things, that's fine, but India is literally light years ahead of Bangladesh in medical services , and perhaps in education too, and this is the reality .
So be careful what you wish for, first we need to provide great quality treatment in reasonable price.
