Indian Parliament (Fair vs Dark Skin) Great Debate

Intelligent. I've come across quite intelligent (and humble at that) Malayali (Malu) folks in my lifetime.

:)

I call it the Cuba Phenomenon.

Kerala early in the piece, dedicated resources to health care and education. So you have this paradoxical situation of a state with 95% literacy, high amount of accessibility of health care but no jobs or industry to speak of in the state due to the stranglehold of trade unions and industry-phobic communists.

so you have the products of this investment in education and healthcare fleeing to other parts of india and the world, and sending money back.

same with young men in the Middle East.

thts true... although my finance is an exception (apart from the time when shes angry & her inner Pashtun warrior comes alive) .

to me, there are two contrasting warrior peoples in South Asia. loud and proud Pashtuns, and silent and deadly Gorkhas.

My buddy Gary (he's Punjabi Sikh) and I always go to bars or restaurants every weekend , specially during game nights and hit the bars during Bar Crawls (lol). Man, i have so much respect for Punjabi guys ... they can drink, and hold it. LOL.

Yea, he's like my best friend and he taught me a lot of Punjabi phrases (bad). :D

Bro, Pashtun vs Baloch...don't tell me Pashtun wins?!!?:p:

Recently, a lot of Japanese companies have made investments in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

I often wonder how coming from a society of order and discipline, they have the patience to set up manufacturing units in India.

But glad to see Japanese increasing their investments in India.

Very interesting, bro. So its an example of Brain Drain ? Its almost quite similar to the Filipinos with their medical professionals leaving the country to work in say Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, USA etc, and the same situation of their sending back remittances to their family back in the Philippines.

Nonetheless, really impressive tho to see how educated the entire State of Kerala is, and its rich history of religious diversity and cultural fusion. Isn't there also a strong Portuguese-Indian ethnic presence in the state? I agree with you that there are some setbacks in Kerala, this so called paradoxical situation, however, the policies in State Government have done well to uplift standard of living. Kerala, in my honest opinion, is a success story and should be emulated by other States in India.

Its just when national talks come up and you'll hear , "Pakistan ZINDABAD", "Hindustan ZINDABAD"

Not completely.

for example, Tamil Nadu is called the detroit of India because it manufactures 30% of India's automobiles and is a textile and IT powerhouse.

Karnataka with Bangalore, is an IT powerhouse.

each state must find their core competency. But, I do believe that developing nations should have a strong public presence in education and health.

Sri Lanka actually has the best social indicators by far in the region :p

that's the case in my university as well.
