Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Babar Khan Ghauri said on Monday that the Karachi-Mumbai ferry service could be started if India issued a no-objection certificate (NOC).
There was no hitch from the Pakistani side in launching the ferry service, he told media at a programme organised in honour of a visiting Indian delegation, led by the chief minister of the Indian state of Bihar, Nitish Kumar. Babar welcomed the Indian delegation to Pakistan and called for exchange of delegations between the two countries, said a press release issued here.
He said it was high time for mutual cooperation to open the avenues of prosperity and development. He said the business communities of Pakistan and India could bring prosperity and development to the people of both the neighbouring countries by signing trade agreements.
