This youtuber has a habit of exaggeration…though, its quite understandable that navy slowed down its high performance frigate program for a reason but I dont think its because of they(india) want to participate in our frigate program!! Turkish ambassador recently gave a interview where he stated Bangladesh army delayed several projects because of funding shortage …I know in the past they interfered in our various programs beacuse of their interest, but finding conspiracy theory behind single incident ??!! We are giving them too much credit!!

These insecure conspiracy theorists overlook obvious reasons and instead concoct melodrama.

Bangladesh is going through a dollar crisis due to Ukraine war led oil price hike.

Going slow on Frigate programme is the sensible choice.

Waiting for Turkey to develop a fighter jet is also another sensible decision.

Buying western fighter jets would be suicidal - will never be allowed to be used against India and Burma - given the west see those countries as bigger money maker than BD. They will not support wars that hamper their economic interests.

No 1 reason why I hate these disgusting wannabe so called defense experts/analysts in YT. This is totally a politically motivated propaganda using a 5 year old news report. Seems like he doing it because of upcoming general election. If he had any interest in doing a bit search he wouldn't have done it.

MoU is not a contract, you don't need to comply with that. There was no details about what kinda ship was supposed to be designed under that MoU and there was no further update about that. Original post from GRSE said it was only for designing and constructing ship, did not specify warship or frigate.

So far nothing happened, no collaboration between KSY & GRSE for shipbuilding. Even the patrol boat contract GRSE got from Department of Fisheries didn't see any progress in two years. We all know how India media report sometimes but still some deshi abals pretend they don't know that for their own agenda. KSY so far collaborated with China, Canada, South Africa, Australia but not India.

Frigate program is very much active and unless they change anything it's still gonna be built in CDDL, not KSY. This mofiz forgot that CDDL will upgrade the whole dockyard before building the frigates. The design is final, work is ongoing, whole CDDL will change once it's done.

The only problem is slow progress. So where did this CHABAL hear about Indian frigate when BN didn't even put RFI? His "mother" from Sonagachi? BN is now focused on upgrading/building shipyard, dockyard & maintenance facilities and OPV project and building ship locally. Frigate will see more delay i guess unless we order first two from other countries.

Yes Damen from Netherlands has visited several times to negotiate, as has Fincantieri Italy and DCNS France (which has changed its name to Naval Group now). All are top level globally reputed Naval Yards.

The deal with the Chinese fell through - but I think the govt. should have negotiated much harder, which it did not.

The Chinese yards wanted a big share of the CTG dry-dock - which is a govt. defense installation.

If we gave it away, we'd still have Khulna Shipyard and DEW Shipyard at Narayanganj, both of which belong to the Navy. Payra is also being built as a future Navy shipyard.

China wanted 65% share of CDDL but the navy was not ready to comply with the Chinese demand. So, the deal did not go through. I think the Netherlands offer is good. Bangladesh navy can accept the Damen group's offer.

Even the ones with politically liberal/leftist view are aware and against Indian hegemony. Although their concern is with protecting Bengali culture as opposed to protecting the rights of Bengali Muslims.

To add further - there is an inherent distrust between Bengalis and other ethnicities. Most likely linked to the Maratha Invasions of Bengal in the 1700s.

But the problem with these liberals are that they are too much of a fool to understand the subversive nature of India's take over of Bangladesh, by means of controlling those in power.
