This is the second time the IA is winning the gold. IIRC, IX Gorkha Rifles won it in 2011. A Pakistani SSG team won in 2010.

SSG's training engagements are limited to Fort Bannings Georgia with USSOF, with the US Delta Force, King Abdullah SOF TC Jordan, Turkish SOF and with Elite units of PLA. SSGN trains with US-SEALs and SSW with USAF's AFSOF. No recent engagements with the SAS or other British institutes that i'm aware of.
