Indian army vehicle runs over woman in IHK

Srinagar: In Indian Held Kashmir, a woman was killed after she was deliberately hit by an Indian Army vehicle, in Baramulla district.

Wife of Muhammad Ramzan sustained critical injuries after she was hit by an ambulance of Drugmulla Army hospital, at Hadipora in Rafiabad area of the district.

She was rushed to Baramulla district hospital, from she was referred to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences for advanced treatment. However, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The terror attack at an Army camp in Kashmir’s Uri district is only the latest in the long line of attacks on India’s western border since the BJP led NDA government came to power. Since May 2014, there have been 23 fidayeen (suicide) attacks along the Pakistan border, most of them in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the current year, 65 security personnel, including Army men, lost their lives, the highest in the past six years. Security forces gunned down 26 terrorists on suicide missions this year.

In the last two years of the United Progressive Alliance rule, eight fidayeen attacks were reported.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has been asked to investigate the Uri terror attack, is examining the leads that point towards Pakistan, a senior official said.

Though the Army had said that the attack was carried out by terrorists belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammad, a Pakistan-based terrorist outfit, senior NIA officials said they were yet to come to a conclusion.

“The name of the terrorist outfit is immaterial, whether its Jaish or Lashkar-e-Taiba, the fact is that it has tell-tale signs of an ISI-backed plan. The ISI might have changed its strategy and would have sent a team comprising members of more than one terrorist outfit,” a senior Union Home Ministry official said.

Post-Uri attacks, the security has been heightened in the border.

The Indian consulates in Afghanistan also became a target of suicide attacks by terrorists

Though I don't support this incident,I think there are some SOP in various armies which actually instructs not to stop a vehicle in zones even though some accident happened where insurgents might use this ploy to ambush.Though I don't know if they employed it in Kashmir or not.

USA employed this in Iraq.
