Indian Army busy in rescue efforts and facing Stone Pelters

@Guynextdoor2 I think you are right. Panic make do people crazy thing which may seem unexceptable in a normal enviourment. I just pray stupidity of few there doesnt make them pay big.

Remember guys those people out there or even us havent faced anything of this sort. We can just speculate, learn and be prepared the next time.

If Kashmiris want to be angryat somebody, then blame your Chief minister who has done ZERO for you. Dont blame the rest of India. If you continue to vote for shitty politicans, then you should expect shitty treatment

They are angry at the delay in rescue operations, not because of anti-India sentiment.

True, it's mainly because they are desperate when they see the result of this disaster and that's why they don't realize how difficult it is currently for the authorities and the forces to act faster or in the way they might want it. So their reaction is somewhat understandable from the emotional state of mind they must be in, rationally it's completely wrong to attack those that wants to help you of course and that are doing their level best at the moment. Lets hope things don't get worse there.

I would imagine them to be exhausted but they have energy to throw stones. How are they getting food and water?
People in Uttranchal did not do anything like that. These people have trust issues. Is India and its army to be blamed for this? Even if we save and care for them by blood, they will never be our own.

Reminds me of how people behaved during Katrina.

Really? That is your response?

I wonder why Pakistan army doesn't have to endure such hatred.

Perhaps, India should mobilize more forces for a quick relief, give the gravity of situation.

Per Pakistani estimates, we already have more than half million people there.
Problem is not with numbers. It could be with boats. But Srinagar airport is already getting choked. There is a limit of things that can be sent by Air. Any effort on such a large scale will take time.
Kashmiris have trust issues with India. Govt and Army might be thinking they would change their heart. But they won't.

Insecurities due to past brutalities take time to heal. But in this scenario, Army must make sure that all areas are reached. For this they must mobilize all available heli support/boats. Airlift as many as possible. I am sure Air force and Army together have helicopter numbers to pull thousands out each day.

Actually it seems that Indian forces are doing pretty well under the circumstances:

Floodwaters have started receding in India-administered Kashmir, giving rescue teams a chance to reach more than 600,000 people stranded by the heaviest flooding in half a century...
...On Wednesday, the Indian army said it has evacuated over 57,000 people from their homes, mosques and government buildings...

...In Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, at least 241 people were reported to have been killed by the floods across the country, including Pakistan's side of Kashmir including 10 worshippers killed on Tuesday when the roof of a mosque collapsed on them in the eastern city of Lahore...

...Pakistan army has said since start of relief Operation, its troops rescued more than 18000 stranded people to safer places using over 500 boats and 5 helicopters.

You can get the updates here:
NDMA

NDMA is Pakistan's disaster management authority, created after the 2005 Kashmir earth quake.

According to the site, 127,000 people have been rescued as of 10th September.

No point in doing that dicker contest again.
But I am sure Indian authorities are doing their best. Could better be done? There is always better. But may be better can not be done right now in current circumstances and resources.

Around 1000 IA personal and their families are also without food, water. 15 corps headquarter is submerged in water. IA People who are doing rescue are not having any fun. Don't push them to limit.

Doubtfull, seems more like a typo:

Ahmed Kemal, a representative of the National Disaster Management Authority, confirmed the flooding is going to continue into the South of Pakistan into Sindh because of rising water levels in barrages, making this a nationwide crisis...

...The evacuation of northern areas of the country is underway, and as of Monday, Kemal said 18,227 people had been evacuated and moved to relief camps in northwestern Punjab province.

Unless you think that the number went from 18000 to 127000 within 2 days and that with around a dozen helicopters, you will see the difference.

No point in doing that dicker contest again.

True, the forces are doing the best they can, but things the magnitude of the disaster is simply too big and to see and understand the real outcome will still take some days.

NDMA figures include all those who have been helped uptill now. The floods have been ongoing longer than 2 days. Plus, the person in question might have quoted figures from a specific region. Floods began in Kashmir, and now in central Punjab, moving towards south towards Sindh.

and in any case, i quoted a site to someone who asked the question. Again, this is not Indian rescue efforts vs Pakistan rescue efforts thread.

Indian army shoud shoot these stone pelters. Less problem creators, less people to rescue and less tension.
