Indian and Pakistani school girls debating in 1959 TV talk show

Christianity is semitic in nature
So is Islam.

advocate for a middle eastern origin religion?
Actually West Asia. This ME concept is a European design to divide and decieve. Judaism, Christianity, Islam are from essentially same region - West Asia and from same Semetic peoples.

well-dressed
Note what the Pakistani girl is wearing. And then note what the Gangu is wearing. Fast forward 2021 the Gangus have adopted what that Pakistan girl was wearing nearly 70 years ago. while our girls have gone 'Arab'. Bizzare.

50s/60s were essentially the peak
Because Pakistan was mostly led by Westoxified gora wannabe's - a legacy of the recent departure of the British Raj in 1947. By 1980s last of this Westoxified gora wannabe's were dieing off.

*Note the clipped British cloned accents and manners.

It's amazing. How people were so calm in 1959. If this was a present day talk show there would have been so much noise and fighting.

It's a discussion on Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. The Indian girl represented Hinduism, the Pakistani girl represented Islam and the white girl and guy represented Christianity.

I think socio-economic equity -- i.e., access to education, investors for businesses, etc -- went down across the board in South Asia since 1947. This isn't to give the British any credit; rather, they presided over a period of decline in South Asia too, but things weren't as bad back then as they are now.

In fact, in 1947, there were very conservative Muslims, liberal Muslims, and even self-proclaimed atheists. There were issues, but by and large, the level of discourse seemed much higher between the different groups. You had intellectuals from across the board, be it Islamist or Secularist.

But for some reason, since 1947, the societal fabric took on a lot of rot. So, what we see today isn't the original fabric, but this giant mess of nasty stuff on top of the fabric -- i.e., 'religious' people who protest and end up trashing property; 'progressive' people who protest and end up trashing morals; and so on. The level of discourse across the board went down and the go-to option for our society is violence, slander, and further division.

Between nationalization, big states, predatory elites, ethnically driven political parties, maulvi mobs, and wars, the region got totalled like few outside of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Also, we Pakistanis were more patriotic and nationalistic in those days. We were striving to be excellent in all fields.

I find it strange how the Romans were twisted enough to say his murder aided by them was a "sacrifice" and put him on a cross in every church. How distasteful, disrespectful even.

I read somewhere that during the first crusade vatican ordered to turn Constantinople into rubbles specifically the library . Now why an invading crusader force would be more inclined to destroy the first political establishment of Christianity then "reclaiming" the holy land . I mean Constantinople never for once thought of invading jaruslem ------.

Logic was deemed bid'ah somewhere b/w then and now I suppose. Logical questioning is feared in certain sectors even though the infallible angels questioned God of all entities during the creation of Prophet Adam (as).

By then Jesus was long gone and everyone was trying to selling his sizzle for clout. You know how it goes and the true message gets lost in translation. They could have all easily saved his life but they let him die in the most gruesome way and then used him to create and sell a religion. The Cabal elite are still here, evil always finds a way to win in this reality. Some would say its their prison.
