The state should pay for the costs incurred in relief operation no matter what. It's pathetic to see our CM begging for a hundred crore and politicizing this.

I wouldn't totally blame state government for the relief functions at the time of flood, it's a first time for us to see such a devastating flood, but post disaster management sucks big time. Money being thrown around, favoritism, forcing employees to pay for relief made it look like a state sponsored money making exercise with little work done when it comes to reconstructing the houses.

Well MM Mani is an uneducated retard, my father knows him personally, he was a trade union guy who used to feed on Plantation workers and raised up in ranks. If at all he knows how electricity is produced using water that guy was just the "yes" guy who just listened to whatever his advisers or fatass engineers in KSEB fed him. The real culprits are those dumbos who are structural engineers and dam safety engineers who should've calculated what would happen and should've coordinated with Meteorological department. No heads rolled, people blamed the government and bureaucrats lived happily ever after.

Anyway, there is no point in crying about the lost chance, it happened now state government should access and give complete compensation.
