India to grant visas to Pakistan cricket players for T20 World Cup

.
The Pakistan cricket team, led by Babar Azam, will have no difficulty in travelling to India for the ICC World T20 in October as the government is set to grant visas to the players from the neighbouring nation.

It has been learnt that BCCI secretary Jay Shah has informed the Apex Council about government's decision on giving visas to the Pakistan players.

"The visa issue of Pakistan cricket team has been sorted. However whether the fans can travel across the border to watch matches is still not clear," an Apex Council member told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

"It will be decided in due course of time. However we had promised ICC that it will be sorted. The secretary announced during the meeting."

India and Pakistan have not played bilateral series for many years now due to political tension between two countries.

The BCCI has also zeroed in on nine venues where World T20 will be held with Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium hosting the final.

Hope we play each other as well😃

. . . .
My question is how will Pakistan government allow its players to go to India? Isnt it similar to engaging India when it has illegally ocupied Kashmir? India and our desi liberals will want Pakistan to forget Kashmir and engage India on its terms. Will this be acceptable to Pakistanis and PTI govt?

.
Indians are so pathetic that they politicized Sports, and their Bollywood, what a shameful bunch they should be banned from hosting and even participating in any ICC tournament, but as once a Legend said " We live in a society, where Honor is a distant memory " .

.
October is far away. But capitalism is likely to trump morality.

.
What exactly were India going to do otherwise?? Ban us from the world cup??

:sarcastic: :sarcastic:

I'd love to see India even dare.

Aukat mein rou. Fkin pajeets think banning us was an option!

Pakistan should boycott any sports events held in India due to gross human right violations and the systemic massacre of monorities.

How this is possible in covid-19 surge in India, daily 1000 people are dying there, kind of catastrophe.

Pakistan should refrain from going there....with the current hate filled atmosphere there.

Separate issue, worthy of debate. But India cannot ban Pakistan from ICC events, so the "issuing of visas" is a non-news item.
