India is trying to engage China diplomatically as the stand-off between the troops of two sides have been going on for the last few weeks in Doklam area of Sikkim sector, the NDA government said today. :cheesy: :enjoy:

At an all-party meeting at Home Minister Rajnath Singh's residence in the evening today, Modi government's ministers briefed Opposition leaders on the China issue.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Gopal Baglay said during the meeting they underlined the importance of India and China to remain engaged through diplomacy. :cheesy:

"The unique nature of very close and longstanding India-Bhutan relationship was recognised. There was widespread appreciation of the Astana understanding between India and China that differences between them shouldn't become disputes," Baglay said.

He said all participants expressed strong support for India's approach and also the need for national unity.

Congress leader Anand Sharma said during the meeting they made it clear that national interest is of paramount importance and non-negotiable.

Ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament which begins from Monday, the NDA government today tried its best to built a consensus with the opposition parties on two critical issues - tension in Jammu and Kashmir and border standoff with China at Doklam in Sikkim area.

PROMINENT PARTIES PRESENT AT THE MEETING

Leaders of all prominent opposition parties, including the Congress, attended the meeting where External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj briefed the leaders on the issues. Besides Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, all senior ministers were present at the opposition meeting.

Indian and Chinese soldiers are engaged in a face-off for three weeks at a tri-junction of India-China-Bhutan borders.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is scheduled to visit Beijing for the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) NSAs meet later this month, was also present at the meeting.

In the meeting, the government also briefed opposition parties on the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir where seven Amarnath pilgrims were killed by freedom fighters in Anantnag.

Four districts of the state -- Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian and Anantnag -- have seen an escalation in violence.

The unrest resumed since the April 9 bypoll to the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.

The government has been facing flak on how the government has dealt with both the issues - China and Kashmir.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on China, and had also met Chinese ambassador to India.

Rahul Gandhi had singled out Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies and the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) alliance with Indian Occupied Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the increase in attacks in the Indian Occupied Kashmir Valley including the Amarnath Yatra attack.

Political leadership has to improve their understanding of military matters and involve the views of defence forces while making critical national security decisions. Another provocative take is that the Indian Army is a distended force and has to caducous flab, by reducing the number of personnel at its disposal. They call for a review of both field force and non-field force in the Army in order to move towards professionalism.

In terms of threat for india is that in terms of threat, Pakistan is China and China is Pakistan, pointing out especially the ‘inter-operability’ that both military forces have achieved.

Knowing the powerful military force of china, India resorting to diplomatic posture is nothing than this while opening unconditional talks alienated from the national mainstream, irrespective of their professed public positions. They caution that even the biggest of powers have not been able to withstand internal discord because they understand that the financial and military effort required to keep it in check debilitates the nation in the long run.

.
Told you they will chicken out, they already chicken out twice now. China keep on rejecting their peace offer, I guess they saw the mobilization increasing.

We will always work through the diplomatic route .
What is in there to talk too much?:D

But that doesnt mean we are going to withdraw our forces unilaterally

.
It is actually China that has chickened, Indian troops are still inside Chinese territory while China can only cry.
We even beat up your men.

India's has now proved that Chinese 'dragon' is nothing but a Fat Panda wearing a Dragon costume.
It has been three weeks since Indian troops captured Chinese territory and established camps there and also thrashed up two Chinese personnel and stopped Chinese road construction, whereas the Chinese could only whine & cry through tabloids.
Both Indian and Chinese troops are facing each other neck to neck on a disputed land. Truthfully speaking, it's not Chinese land and now India is asking for diplomatic solutions, so who is chickening out here?

Yah, this panda killed a few thousand Indians back in 62'. How exactly did you thrashed up two Chinese soldiers? Kabaddi style? :D

isko boltay hain "PHAAATIIII"

but but chest thumping banyas be like "Hum na china ko pooray 2 din ungli ki"

All the main parties have supported the Government stance ( which is the always the case in India) and gives the Govt long rope to do what it wants. Democracy operates like this.

Chinese should understand that India has decided to put an stop to all the nibbling and stealing of Bhutanese land ( being its protectorate ) and so we have tossed away your daily threats to dustbin.

We will continue to talk and tell that we believe in Diplomacy ..while we will not change our stance till the core issue is addressed, status quo as on 01June2017 maintained.

Pakistani Cheerleaders, I am sorry but take lesson from this. You cant count on China during your worst crisis. China is now preparing to sell its Client Estate , North korea and in future it will be your turn.

.
I can really see how professional both armies are. Even in such tense situation not a single bullet fired by both side. That to me really shows the professionalism on both sides. Hats off to that.

With reports of China mulling to establish a naval bases all over and especially in Pakistan too doing the rounds, India may once again worry about the much talked about Chinese doctrine of ‘String of Pearls’ to contain both lands as well as the maritime footprint of India in the region.

Bad and worst days are coming ahead for indians as they are completely encircled and can't get out it.

. .
India humiliated

and especially in Pakistan too
This is such a huge risk we're taking. China is our friend NOW, what happens when it decides not to be?

No offence to our Chinese brothers on the naval point, I just don't like the idea of any nation's troops being within our borders. It's not something any state should allow, no matter how friendly they are. After all, the first thing every country, including yours and including mine, looks after is what benefits them the most. Friendship is always second to national interest.

Pakistan and China both iron brothers have one common enemy in this region and its India.

What else can you expect from this so called "Bloated" Supa Puwa.
