Nothing. India like other developing nations was always a lost cause.

Since in Govt of India has made Doctor patient relationshp into a consumer seller binding in which disputes are settled in consumer courts.
Just out of the blue,, a thought comes to my mind,,,,during summers hotels increase thr rents,,flights increase fares,,even A/C technicians charge more,,during festivals cloths n fruits become expensive.
During wedding season halls/properties become expensive.

Basically more demand + less supply = expensive.

Now with corona scare,,,Rs 5 mask is being sold for Rs 20 while Rs 200 handsanitizer is sold at Rs 1000.
Can we doctors too increase our fees 5times,,,nobody seems to have any problm whn others do it,,moreover we r already reduced to service providers by law.There will be no forcing,,only those who wants our service will pay,just like others.

I mean,,,malls r empty,,flights r grounded,,events postponed,,schools closed,,people r scared of touching others.
Meanwhile hospitals r open,,patients r being treated,,,health professionals dont hesitate n walk 3mtrs away if someone has cough cold fever.
The only ppl with the highest risk but still trying.
Me personally is just waiting for a video of some doctor being killed by corona infected patient attentdents claiming negligence.

Del - Mum return flights at 5k, even if you book a flight within a day. That is insane.

In fact all local popular routes are going for throw away prices. Worth the risk if you're young and healthy !

We r anonymous,,,speak ur mind.
U want health professionals to work selflessly while the whole of corrupt society is busy making a buck at every presenting opportunity by hook or crook,,n conveniently calling it "business".
Now tht we too have become mere service providers in eyes of the law(businessmen),,,why shud we not do wht every other busines does,,ie make profits during apt opportunities.

Not advisable as a general physician running his/her own clinic. That would that be immoral, for which you'll likely lose not just your reputation, but a lot of business as a result of the bad name.

If you're working in a big corporate hospital like Max, Fortis etc, however, you could demand a raise.

If some big company wants to hire you for your medical expertise as a private consultant or doctor, you can go full extortionist and ask for the moon.
