Kolkata represent the intellectual, historical and Cultural wealth of Bengal.Numerous. I don't know the count, but dozens are there, both malls and multiplexes.
Bangladesh is not dependent upon India in any way.Only 10 percent of our foreign trade is with India. Some indian doing business here doesn't indicate dependency upon india. It's called FDI.They are mostly using local raw materials and workers and selling products locally. We can kick them out if we like.Is there any field where Bangladesh is not dependant upon India? Even The KFC in Bangladesh is owned by an Indian Company .
Bangalis seems to enjoys independence from Pakistan....
However, Bangladeshis enjoy a good time here, Kolkata as a city is more modern, almost always they travel in metro to check it out, watch films in multiplexes, shop in malls or just visit them for their appeal, eat in restaurants and food courts, and sometimes just stand on the sides of the roads with the awe of seeing a modern city!
Well obviously the reasons are different. In fact people from USA also visit Indian hospitals. In India, human organs for transplantation are very cheap because India is filled with the people who are more than willing to sell their kidney for very much small amount. Its like go and buy. Other human organ transplantation are also available on menu and very cheap. Not much difference it seems, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis both come to Indian hospitals.
You must have seen some pics of buildings, hotels, etc. rest of the Dhaka city is in shambles. Dhaka doesn't even have a decent public transport system, a prerequisite of a modern city, they have lakhs of rickshaws as a mode of city travel. Besides, with just 1 or 2 malls and multiplexes it is hardly a modern city.
Is it easier for Bangldeshis near border to go to Indian hospitals than to travel to Dhaka because of distance? Not really sure about Bangladesh's geography

Kolkata is definitely not more modern than Dhaka - by a long shot.
I posted a few images, take a look and please refrain from commenting there, it's a media thread....

Yes, in another thread some Bangladeshis were boasting about one of their high end restaurant chains, I had to inform them that it was actually an Indian company owned by an Indian Bengali....then they declared that they will boycott that restaurant chain!
