Actually, India always wanted the issue to be solved through bilateral means.. Not through any third party.. It was a clever move by Pakistan to offer third party probe.. They knew India wont agree any one to be involved in it.. It means they indirectly agreed on Third party intervention on Kashmir..

don't you worry about what is not possible and what can't be done. You signed for bilateral settlement.... so third party is out of question. I am assuming you are talking about Kashmir. Your OP is too small.... please elaborate what is in your mind.

It surprises me why Pakistan govt. even makes such offers. It also very surprising why govt. is not raising the issue of cross border attack from India a day before this incident?

mr420 the response to your very logical question is as follows: India does not want to have third party mediation in dealings with Pakistan. It is not just this incident - In the past as well India has rejected UN intervention in other areas. I am not saying we are right or wrong, just that our refusal to accept UN mediation does not have to do with this recent unfortunate incident.

The current Indian posturing shows that there is something fishy on Indian side that India fears to get exposed if UN intervenes. If REALLY Pakistan has done something unjustified, then its good chance for India to expose the flaws in Pakistan's stance. But current response of India suggest weakness in Indian stance.

Indian agencies are quite capable and adequate for the task. Accepting a 3rd party probe would be equivalent to ceding the region over to the turdmonkeys in the west.

Pakistan knows India will not accept third party intervention of any sort. Its clear this stand was premidated on Pakistan's part even before the act was authorized by Kayani.

Besides, with no cooperation by PA, UN will only be used to whitewash the crime.

Actually going by Pakistan's confidence, it seems ''non state actors'' may have been used.
