India plans to invest $25b in Bangladesh: Envoy

Son. Do you really think the CPC will willingly shed its industrial jobs?

China is a middle income country that is aiming to be high-income by 2025.
BD is an ideal location to move it's low-tech industry to among a few other countries.
Chinese factory wages of over 500 dollars a month and rising cannot sustain
many of it's industries.

You are clearly trolling on this thread and so for your own sake I suggest you stop.

Actually BD is a 15 crore market. And it can absorb investments like 50B$ in future. It has a capacity to expand, more market, one of the more stable muslim countries out there. If China can dominate many markets, why cant India? Its a start.

Sorry, but China has far higher capacity in terms of investments india just cant deliver at the scale that China or even japan can.

He has some serious mental issues! In another thread he confessed that he has been stalking @TopCat 's Facebook profile!

Ignore Indian wet dreams.

They have so many people in India that they cannot provide jobs for and here they
are dreaming of creating millions of jobs in BD.

The biggest investor is USA. They invested 25% of total FDI so far.

In terms of financial investments. The shift in FDI will come from China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia in the next 5-10 years.

I'm really not. I am telling you about the realities of the world. China will not willingly deinduatrialise and send its jobs overseas in the face of the coming automation revolution. I have stated in the past that India will be the one which will invest in your country (an observation which was similarly rebuked). Now this may only be a pledge but it is a strong indication that what I said was true. It's up to you to believe me or not.

Chinese low tech industries more likely go to Laos, Combodia, Myanmar.

There are reasons for that.
1. Close proximity. They can use their backward linkage industries in China.
2. GSP facilities which BD and China dont have in USA market.
3. Less competition from existing local investor.
4. BD does not allow FDI in garments sector outside EPZ.

Under Bangladesh's request China made Myanmar stop exploring disputed areas in Bay of Bengal and here some people thinks Myanmar is of more important to China than Bangladesh. Sigh

BD is a manufacturing driven economy, India is not.
India is more keen in power and energy sector which is good.
