ISLAMABAD: India-Pakistan peace talks will be possible only when the BJP is voted out in India, a Pakistani newspaper said on Saturday.

The Nation said in an editorial that despite Islamabad's attempts, New Delhi was not ready for reconciliation.

"The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) might hopefully lose power soon, and maybe we can start (peace talks) again with a more level-headed government," it said.

The editorial came after Pakistan's permanent representative to UN, Maliha Lodhi, handed over to the UN three dossiers allegedly containing "proof" of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Sartaz Aziz, adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on national security and foreign affairs, also accused India of repeatedly violating the 2003 ceasefire pact with Pakistan on the LoC in Jammu & Kashmir.

"As far as the Indian government goes, Pakistan is the primary sponsor of terrorism, and they will stick by this claim no matter what those dossiers state," the daily said.

"Even if the audio and video evidence present in these files prove beyond doubt that India is indeed sponsoring state terrorism in Pakistan, nothing will change."

The Nation said: "For now, India is at an international high, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a superstar. This will fade."

What an IMMATURE country ! You are not talking to a political party but the GOVERNMENT OF INDIA !

.
Another 4 year its not possible and at least another 20 year modi will be our pm

.
Simply talking does not make any valuable progress...Non BJP parties are talking since indepence but what is its outcome?? Nothing...Rather i feel, if any party in India can provide any kind of bold descison regarding Indo Pak relation is BJP...If any other party try to be good with Pakistan, then it will suit to statergy of BJP to score point with them which will be easily beleived by people...It is always said, if you want to make any negotiation with your enemey, then deal with worst person from enemey camp than the best person among them....In the same way, If also India needs any result oriented talk, India should talk directly to ISI of Pakistan as they direct India policy...What is the point in talking with Gov of Pakistan who does not control anything about India policy..

Fear has started to sink in...
Realization has came ....ki abb daal nahi galegi...
70yrs of Soft stance was abused by Pakistan.

Its not to late, faster they act upon cleaning the house and removing the mess, easier it would be to build a better future.

Oh man because so much was solved in the past ten years before BJP came to power. We are in the same place were were after independence, nothing has changed we are in the same place. The only thing that has changed is that now we both have nukes.

True.

Talks with hindu fanatics sitting in Indian govt. is like talking to ISIS if it manages to come to power in some country.

It should not be encouraged!

.
Last time when BJP govt was in power and Atal Bihari Vajpayee was PM we had talks and the Lahore Bus Yatra. What happened just after that? Kargil

If they believe that our stance towards them depends on our internal politics, then they are wrong. You be a good boy and you shall get a candy irrespective of who gives it...

I don't think that any muslim country has altered their position towards India because there was a change in government. Business is as usual for them, so please don't be an exception...
