Go learn history. All Jinnah cared for was that the Muslims of the subcontinent be able to freely practice their religion...and not be subject to the whims and wishes of the Hindu majority(lynchings over beef are just the latest examples of this). U say that his ego was involved and he was hungry for the seat of PM?Millions died in WWII for what actually? The fact that Jinnah wanted to be the first PM of India proves that Pakistan was just a plan B for him to seat in the PMs seat.
Just a year prior to independence, in 1946, he agreed to a plan where Pakistan wouldn't be created instead greater autonomy would be given to those regions(now comprising Pak/Bangladesh) and they would remain part of India. So where was his ego then while he was willing to compromise?
As for his hunger over PM's seat...the first prime minister of Pak was Liaquat Ali Khan appointed by Jinnah himself. He could've taken that position himself and nobody would oppose him...but he didn't.
