India Needs the Cyber Command Now

Lolx... ok we are behind if that makes you happy 😀

and will always be ? That statement came after you smelled the BS in your head mate as you don't know the present let alone future..

And again we are behind 😆 *sarcastic smile on Green Havildar face*

Unless something drastic has changed in the last 5 years, I would be a bit worried. And my worry is more in terms of institutional culture, decision making process, funding priorities and allocations and sense of where the world is in the cyber domain verses our thinking. I hope I am wrong and we have gotten our act together, nothing would make me feel better. But my observation is in large measure driven on the weakness of the above mentioned areas, and knowing how long it takes to change bureaucratic inertia. Furthermore institutional structure is so poor that long term strategic projects are harder to execute and deliver through multi-brass changes. SPD has tried to bring it together, but that too is becoming an unquestionable monolith which is a double edged sword. I hope the SPD is doing it the right way and its genesis was in the hands of very capable people like Kidwai. Hoping that institution has internal rigor, transparency and openness but I wont know much of SPD happenings, so cannot make a comment there.

I can smell a new yarn about some super duper hackers from Pak who will do wonders--they won't because you are nowhere close to what we have.
And you know that they wont because ???

Or maybe you are like other andhbhakts who know nothing about art of war 😆
PS- defacing some pages or chickenshit database breaches don't count- we have plenty of those too.
Thats kids stuff mate you only need to know basic coding plus unsecure website to deface it.. its easy..

Real stuff is when you target enemies with your own / custom ransomware..

It's good they think we're behind, just like they thought in Feb 2019.

We should improve ourselves certainly, but let them think we can't and won't.

Bro their this attitude is an advantage for us... and this thinking is not only tied to defence they literally blame us of being beggars when they not only have more beggars than us but also take more foreign aid than us..

'Ransomware' sure the peak of Pak hacker aspirations.

If they Chinese can cause blackout in Mumbai , they can also cause havoc on the nuclear missiles guidance system :what: ?

either way, I dont think the chinese wil give india that breathing space..
As far as I know...missiles these days usually have multiple methods of guidance...INS(inertial navigation system), GPS, Glonass(it is highly likely that India uses these three). Not sure if India is allowed access to more precise GPS and Glonass(reserved for military use)...but they definitely have access to regular versions of those. It would be hard for China to simultaneously disrupt GPS and Glonass...not to mention the potential fallout/retaliation from US and Russia...if that was attempted. Additionally India is also going to have its own regional positioning system(not sure how far they have gotten on that)...but I wouldn't be surprised if it would also extend into Pakistan and parts of China.

Yes India do have access to military level precise GPS data
