Let's say there's a conflict between China and the US.

Would India use this to its advantage and join the war? I would think not. Unless China annexed NE India in a previous war, then all bets are off.

I think Indian foreign policy is quite clear from our stance in Iran, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Europe, China and Africa.

You can easily find India doing what's best for its national interest and independent of US pressure. Indo-China relation and India's approach to Pakistan in so much trouble paints a completely different picture.

It may be the best time to push Pakistan on brink of war which could worsen its condition, yet India is trying its best to normalize the region as any face off is bad for our economy and turns out good for Pakistan too.

We have seen India's decision regarding Iran even when US forced and KSA offered more oil supply to us

Afghanistan regarding policy is clear, economic and diplomatic ties and no action to make things bad with Pakistan.

Focus on investment in Africa is a new thing which India haven't done in past decades, extension of economic interests in right time. Being proactive rather than reactive.

Europe is taken as a supplier and not as power to take orders. They are been approached according to our interests rather than appeasing them.

The problem is US don't want this side of India. Being a nation without aligning to one pole where China is becoming the other pole of the world.

No matter how much and what US offer, Russia, China and other countries will be taken according to what we think is right.

The first interference in internal affairs was entirely the act of the British who continued to plunder their gold mine long after they left.
Most of India's military purchases in the start were influenced by the British.. equipment that was never actually sought was sold.
The same way Pakistan was also plundered for useless equipment by the Brits.

The US interference in Pakistan was bound to happen since the US wanted to counter the USSR and CHINA..
and even India helped out as trying to be a counterweight to China(as it is today).
So while Pakistan overtly joined the US camp..India too was not late in cozying up to the USSR...an act which alarmed the US
which was hoping to keep India as its counterweight to China..

Blaming it on Pakistan is based on hatred and not logic..

I don't really get what you wanna say. Did INDIA throw up its land, its waters, its airspace to USSR
to plunder? No. We only took what we want from them, and remained a good friend until the end of their
days. But we were alert to keep them off where they should be kept.

Pak at the other hand gave the Amrikis too many welcome mats into South Asia. Now look the end result
of which is clear in everyone's eyes - Talibunnys bombing buildings, Lashkars attacking people everywhere,
gun-trotting terrorists bombing out miitary bases, unmanned American drones bombing and killing
countless innocent civilians including children - 168 children killed in
drone strikes in Pakistan and what not.

The creation of the Mujahideen was a American idea,,,and pakistan unnecessarily supported that wicked idea.,,,
those mujahis turned and evolved into 100s of terror groups and now everybody is paying the price,
INCLUDING pakistan itself!

And all because of pakistan opening up gates for USA in the cold war...i agree you can take weapons and
political support from whomever you like but throwing yourselves at them is not good for the ENTIRE region.
and thats PROVEN.

Its already happening, India is being pumped up by the US to act as its Sheriff in the region.. and while it isnt going exactly according to the US's plans.. India own insecurities are certainly pushing it along this path and a war with China and a very weakened Pakistan is all but inevitable.

The US wants to bait China into a multiple front war.. and India is simply the dupe it wishes to use as initial cannon fodder.

We never joined with the USSR even during the Afghanistan invasion ......

What makes you think that India will fight USA's war now ???

We should not even bother with these anti-China crap coming out of the US!!Yes I agree that we are making a few good moves by going for the troop modernization along the NEFA and deploying additional troops amd mil harware in the NE.But thats just a move to create a balance and to deter any misadventure from the Eastern neighbor,cause honestly at this point of time there's a huge imbalance between India and China in terms of deployed military capacity along the AP border.Other than this there's peace along the entire LAC.But the Americans are trying to make it sound as if the countries are in a state of war!!
