India moves closer to acquiring the armed version of the Israeli Heron-TP UAV

India finalized deal of 10 armed Heron TP for $ 400million. It will add to already existing fleet of unarmed Herons of Indian air force.[24]

That was always on the table but they don't want it coming back & biting their backsides when the deal gets scrutinised by Indian government auditors (CAG). Also talks with the U.S. allows for better knowledge of what else is available.
