India loses the plot on the Rohingya issue: Hands the game to China

India does not have a quiet diplomacy unlike China. India could secure leverage by openly supporting BD when China was supporting MM. India missed the opportunity one more time.
By supporting MM Indian will be left with empty handed both in MM and in Bangladesh.
nope... we dont have anything to gain and everything to lose.. bd is not ours nor is mm.. without complete leaning of one of the countries towards us.. it will be foolish to play favorites..
bd is not a trustworthy neighbor to side with.. yet. .. historically we did not have normal relation with mm, there is no need to break whatever we got.

It is a simple as that Myanmar with it access to mallaca straits and in international water boundary with India in Andaman sea ,access to Thailand and to India 's north-east has a strategic geographical position and Tatamadaw has shown it wants to balance China with India somewhat ,also RSS largest overseas presence is also in Myanmar and the charismatic leader wirathu with its anti-jihad activity can counter jihad in south and south East Asia ,we don't want situation like in Marawi and south Thailand where a jihadi groups gain ground and Myanmar can be a partner in the region , Bangladesh only offers a market and illegal immigrants and Jihadi groups like JMB ,al badr

The tears of lungis on this thread are a sound to my ear. Even China is showing them the bird.

Enjoy it, lot more is going to come as world forgets again and these lot here are stuck with just the fake love/support on this forum to show for it.

MM shafted them real good and hard with support from China, India and Russia and the best part is SHW going to get "elected" again easily.

Special LOL at the quack-doctor throwing up UN as something relevant. I'm glad he got so triggered he called Pakistan (same country he crapped on in so many countless threads about 1971 prior to the MM shafting) as a "most dependable ally". I directed some Pakistanis to witness his quite juicy hypocrisy:

People now understand what these BD characters here inherently are.

My only worry is that in 50 years once bangladesh drown we will have to take these twunts in our country as SE asia won't have them . Maybe time to encourage contraceptives and vasectomy in bangladesh is right now.

There is nothing to be gained or lost here for India. Rohingya crisis only showed how weak is BD that it has rely on china or India to push the buttons.

More over MM will only take decisions good for them. MM has openly said rohingyas are not citizens given that these agreements are nothing but eyewash. If more pressure is put on them they will simply say f*** off whether it is India or china.

We have seen this china-India (pakistan-India in afghanistan) thing in nepal too. It is only the soft power that works , dirty tricks or quid pro quid without share values or interests do not last for too long.

It is pretty amusing to see BD's begging for India's help and at the same time abusing it. China like US does play the cards but for a cost. Given that MM is out neighbor we dont want to set it on fire whether BD likes it or not.

BD should try to solve the issue amicably through bilateral talks instead of inviting other powers and roiling up the neighborhood. There are no free lunches .....

Bangladesh will not be the same again... At least a major political party will never be able to try to sell Indian friendship anymore to its audience.
Your foreign minister's visit a week ago did not even get a proper news coverage here.

I hope the gullible 'chetona' idiots have now turned the corner, and they have now completely lost the popular vote for that matter.

Problem is, our collective memory as a nation is so short that we can be duped in this manner by the sweet talking backstabber dadas and assorted other banya h*r*mis from that country, this Rohingya event has shown us who our friends are and are not...

Its interesting that bhakt idiot brought up Mir Jafar. Point is the number one person conspiring to pass Bengal (and therefore India) to the British was not Mir Jafar himself but a Jain Moneylender named Jagat Seth, read the sordid details...(anyone wonder why these backstabbers are the way they are)....

"Let’s look at the east first. What exactly happened before the Battle of Plassey? Sir Penderel Moon (The British Conquest and Dominion of India) says “some influential Hindu bankers in Murshidabad, alienated by Siraj ud Daulah’s violence and caprice, had secretly informed (the British) that they were meditating his removal”. These influential bankers were Oswal Jains, led by a man whose title was Jagat Seth, meaning “banker to the world”. His name is not known for certain, but it might have been Madhav Rai. The Muslims had no confidence in running the economy and usually trusted the Hindu mercantile castes to do this. Akbar’s economist Todar Mal was Punjabi Khatri.

The problem the Oswal Jains had with Siraj ud Daulah was that, only in his 20s, he was not mature or knowledgeable. He did not understand interest or finance, and did not apply the rule of law. He preferred rule by whim. He became violent when it was learnt that he had no money to pay salaries to the army. Sir Penderel writes: “He is said to have struck Jagat Seth, the leading Hindu banker, in the face and threatened him with circumcision... It seems to have been Jagat Seth who took the lead in approaching the English for help in overthrowing him.”

Jagat Seth played from the shadows. History records the broker of Plassey’s treachery as another trader in Bengal, a Punjabi Khatri called Amin Chand. He is said to have cemented the deal between Clive and Mir Jafar, but then blackmailed the British saying he would tell Siraj ud Daulah unless he was paid Rs 30 lakh."

Nobody is getting or giving favors here. what do you mean by friend ship here? Did bangladesh come and fight for India on chinese border during doklam issue or did they send troops to protect Indian border from terrorist infiltration?
If BD goes back to supporting to anti-India elements , India will return the favor in the same coin.

Its time you ppl stopped thinking too much of yourself and your so called importance to India. There is also another country which thinks it is geostrategically located and screwed up itself bigtime.

Nobody cares about BD in India other than when they support anti-India elements. It is the same case with ordinary bangladeshi's as well who are more interested in their economic well being than about India's relation. Its is only fringe idiots like jamaatis who want to usurp power play the India or Islam card other than that life will go as usual whether it s India or MM.

I dont understand Bangladeshi's blaming all and sundry but themselves for this Rohingya issue.. Neither India, China and not even Myanmar to a certain extent, Non of them have any obligations to the Rohingya whatsoever

The world is learning by that now these people are recent immigrants from Bangladesh of last 30 - 40 years, And the hysterical propaganda in global media seems to be dying down as well as i predicted.. That is the reason no one not even the Muslim Majority nations of South East Asia are making too much of it, Other than declaring concern over the violence and civilians caught between and rightfully so.. They also know that the recent crisis was created by violent extremists within the rohingya attacking govt forces of Myanmar, No self respecting sovereign nation will tolerate such a thing

Bangladesh need to just accept them back without throwing toys out of the pram so to say, And the global community need to back the GOB financially and diplomatically to do that

India should stay away from the shyte these illegal immigrant bangladeshis have created in Myanmar, and should focus on identifying and deporting all these illegal bangladeshis that are residing in India.

True, we are very experienced at watching Indians drinking their much loved CowKa Cola...
and what does that do to the bangladeshi economy? is it helpful? Stop trolling and get back to the topic at hand....India is a country and it has every right to defend it self, we dont want another crisis in our backyard, these people can settle in bangladesh, why dont you take them or ask your jumma chumma to take them why India?

:what::what:

I have no problem China handling Rohingya issue. India should come out of this Rohingya issue. Rohingya issue has nothing to do with India.

Mate there are multiple sources where people can learn and read about facts and be informed of realities nowadays unlike decades ago when only sources of information would be Western media houses.. This is a complex issue not a Black and White innocent minority vs bad majority/Muslim vs Buddhist issue.. Not all Muslims in in Myanmar are involved, Neither are all Muslims in Myanmar Rohingya, Neither are all Muslims in Rakhine Rohingya.. The ethnic Muslims of Rakhine are the Kaman or Kamein, Who are the original inhabitants of that region and are Myanmar citizens.. Rohingya are relatively a new term coined in the last decade or two and the Rohingya are Bengali people who mass migrated to those parts only three or four decades ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamein

http://www.oxfordburmaalliance.org/ethnic-groups.html

@Nilgiri @Aung Zaya .. Like i mentioned months ago after the initial media hysterics and propaganda dies down, People will learn the ground facts about these kind of conflicts

WTF??? you talking about???
year 1784 looks 30 years ago to you when we first got the first wave of Rohingyas... ?

Any valid neutral source to validated this claim ?
