The problem is that all of the deals in the "pipeline" are pending NOT because of a lack of funds but because of procedualr/contractual issues at various stages. As such, when a deal is ready to be signed it should be, it shouldn't be put on the back burner waiting for other deals to progress to the deal finalization stage.Personally . I think it ll b waste of money ! m aware of its merits bt dere r other important acquisitions waiting in da pipe line ...My 2 cents !
It is good for navy but currently navy need ASW chopper on urgent basic

Look at the number of deals the NDA has actually signed since May 2014- it is rather unimpresssive. There is a huge backog and they need to start pumping these deals out at every level. It is simply embarrasing how little the Indian military has bought in the past decade.
Year on year the Indian military returns unspent CAPEX to the Fin Min, over the years this means that tens of billions of dollars worth of purchases have not been made and look at the state of the military as a result- rotten in many areas.
The two are not mutually exclusive- India will be getting both and the S-70B is in its final stages.[/QUOTE
