What's new

India is doing what China did 30 years ago ?

We got a bunch of dumb chinese sitting on judgment of what India needs to do. Lol. India just banned few Chinese apps, so deal with it.

. .
Sure there were dark spots like the Bengal famine and harsh rule but India's existence today as it is is due to the British Raj. Your borders reflect that as does your IT industry lol
Who the hell do you think you are? We are India and here to stay. You are clearly Chinese masquerading as American. Shut up and mind your business.

All we need is a good leadership. Just take a look at the period of economic liberalization period of the 90's.

the problem with Indians is that you spend so much energy justifying your own existence and justifying acting for your own interests. your elite like Lakshimi Mittal are just brown skinned 19th century British imperialists and think they're like British imperialists and only care about exploiting India.

the even more unfortunate part is that many of the Indian lower classes believe in this and have extreme internalized racism, not only against themselves, but using the exact same 19th century British racism against Chinese.

this will destroy you in the end unless you change.

I can't answer you if you are not more specific. I have worked with a lot of Chinese. Can't say they all were epitome of universal brotherhood.

The effect of economic growth was visible everywhere. New jobs, roads, FDIs all came in such a quick span of 20 years. But UPA II's last few years and this BJP government has been a disaster.

Just saw a meme where MMS is telling NM, "Beta, muh chalana aur desh chalana eik baat nhi". I could not agree more.

That's just the first problem in a democracy.

Lol just because I said something good about the British Empire you are now triggered? Your country would not exist without the British ... Indians always complain about the "atrocities" of the "evil" British Empire even though they provided India with the a huge jumpstart after independence. I'm sure if the British Empire continued ruling, India would be in a significantly better shape than it is today ... perhaps not a Hong Kong but definitely much better than whatever is current day India.

.
The Indians are very ungrateful that the British gave them an entire country, good infrastructure, and decent English skills. Had it not been for Great Britain, India would not be nearly so big.

Honestly as much as I hate to admit it India needs to get rid of its democracy. Its government is the reason why it cannot succeed ... when you think about the successes of democracy in the world, you think about the US and Europe, never India. India needs very centralized rule with a strong authority figure who uses their power to harshly implement reforms. Even Modi, however powerful he is within the BJP, cannot manage to push many initiatives through because of the bureaucracy. India itself embodies the failure of democracy.
Even with an authoritarian government, India will still not last. Sure, they can be forced to stay together. Like the British did to India.

India will be better off split up to pieces. It’s more natural that way.

. .
Perhaps,

The issue is now not just the boundary dispute but "survival".
The Survival in a highly technology dominated world.

Either you choose and develop your own or, get bullied. Its Economy.. Economy all the way.

is it a deliberate "act" by India to cut off substantial ties with China and ACCEPT the SHORT TERM LOSS to GAIN a LONG TERM ADVANTAGE of SELF RELIANCE ?

@Joe Shearer
you sud elaborate what you mean but long term advantage?

Indians internalized the 19th century imperial British racial hierarchy, particularly elites. The elites view Indians apart from themselves, and believe they need to "justify" to the west why India deserves to develop or even deserves to exist. They spend so much time and energy justifying themselves to foreigners for aid, arms deals, etc. Just look at all the ink spilled for India's UNSC bid and NSG bid. And for what? A pat on the back from US/UK that India is A-OK?

Indians meanwhile have nothing but contempt for other Asians. Another relic of 19th century British imperialism.

Meanwhile Chinese government do not believe in justifying themselves. They just do it.

You have been saying this since I have joined this forum. Nothing indicates that to happen yet so far.

That's just the first problem in a democracy.
Just because India and Brazil are failures does not mean democracy is a failure. Look at the United States, Western Europe, South Korea, Japan, or Taiwan. Democracy does work ... just not in all climates.

.
How exactly? We got a hell good number of brilliant politicians and statesmen elected within a democratic framework.

I take it as you are a Congress support, unfortuately, you are in minority. That's the democratic framework that you are up against.
