India-Iran, Qatar SeaPipeline Not Possible without Pakistan's Approval

Enjoy .. There is Pak taking a dump on your dreams :
This is not a big deal actually....
India needs a pipeline and it will build so.....
previously we did skipped the 200NM EEZ belonging to Pakistan but now since it has a claim over 350NM the project has hit a roadblock

What makes you think that we can't stretch the pipeline a bit further to skip the Pakistan EEZ again....
a 20-30 percent increase in the development cost won't matter considering that we are talking about 1.1 billion standard cubic feet gas flow daily from Iran,Oman to India..

Go ahead ..350NM and deal with UN & US sanctions .. Who is stopping you!

Sanctions??
Why

Even they are reaching a deal with Iran besides we never stopped importing oil....they put barriers so the import decreased but we never stopped and paid with gold to overcome the obstacle.....
Anyways, they need us more than we need them

The only problem here is that the previously existing Oman oil exploration zone now falls under Pakistan's EEZ and it has to take Pakistan's approval if it goes yours way.....
it Will not stop but delay the SAGE pipeline I think

Brother instead India can import gas through TAPI and IPI which will be much cheaper. :)

If sanctions are lifted then why not IPI as well? Instead of building much more expensive sea line, those extra billions can be saved.
True that
It also makes absolute sense to do it through either of them.....we get cheaper gas,Pakistan gets transit fee,Iran gets money for its oil
Win win for all

I also want India-Pakistan to increase the trade and do that directly instead of doing it via 3rd parties.....

Besides, more business will mean more prosperity and it will reduce the chances of a potential conflict as well....

Let's see how it goes

Enjoy Modi's sudden love for reviving a cricket series with Pakistan NEWS with this NEWS.... :coffee:

The article is wrong, looks like they haven't read UN convention on laws of the sea properly. As per UNCLOS, Pakistan only has economic rights(fishing, oil exploration) to it EEZ, It can not stop the passage of a pipeline or cables outside its territorial waters..

Looks like Chahabar of India is getting more irrelevant and not-so-cost effective anymore

May be Pakistan can give a nod in lieu of transit fee

Pakistan already stated that it can be given, if India shows any interest, which it hasn't

So i guess, let them deal with the longer more expensive route.
