Yep with that isolation for Pakistan will also come Kashmir.

You will cry and cry but in the end you will hand over territory to Pakistan.

Indian politicians say one thing in meetings and then say something else to their janta

aren't you already occupying kashmir ? the only point of conflict is , which india sees is ...the part of kashmir which is occupied by Pak. :chilli:

Is that why Kashmiris in India protest and burn Indian flags on 15th of August?

Get out of your slumber and drag your butt to the Indian Occupied Kashmir to see the truth.

There is a trade off going to take place very soon and you will end up with some parts pof Jammu and Ladakh.

Kashmir and Siachin will become part of Pakistan. :chilli:

What makes you say that?. Perhaps, you dreamt it. Dreams doesn't always become true. What has not happened in 60 years will not happen now.

My friend when this will happen, you and other Indians would only jump up and down.

Just pay attention to how the current crisis is going to end. You will realize soon.

The thread is going to get closed if I have to issue another warning for staying on topic.

Both sides need to offer a rational analysis and commentary on what the thread title statement signifies.

What sort of pressure or international consensus India intends to build by sharing evidence with various nations? How it will play out in terms of what the international community will demand of Pakistan, both rhetorically and tangibly?

While India may continue to hold out the threat of strikes on Pakistani territory, the fact is that any strikes have a very high potential of escalating the situation and really destabilize the region.

Instability in the region is anathema to the West, since instability will breed greater extremism and lack of control, and especially impact Afghanistan - unless one believes that is the West's goal, to destabilize and weaken Pakistan, and prop up India.

There are therefore going to be two opposing forces at work here - the necessity recognized by everyone to crack down on groups that evidence conclusively links with terrorism, and therefore the need to apply pressure on Pakistan to 'do more' on that front vs the need to not destabilize a young and relatively weak GoP and democracy in Pakistan.

Finally, evidence will have to be shared with Pakistan. It may be done through an intermediary like the US, if India remains unwilling to cooperate, but it will have to be shared. I don't see how the GoP can successfully prosecute any of the individuals it has arrested, for perpetrating the Mumbai attacks, unless the alleged intercepted phone calls, confessions etc. are provided to Pakistan and can be presented in a court of law.

The Bush Administration may not be as willing to understand the GoP's position on this issue, given that it was used to Musharraf circumventing the constitution when arresting and deporting people the US was interested in, as well as programs such as GITMO and extraordinary renditions that the US herself employed to act outside her own laws.

It remains to be seen whether the next US administration will be more amenable to working through the system in Pakistan, instead of circumventing it.

China alone is sufficient to block the approval of evidences in the UN. It is the only Asian country to have veto power and is the best-est friend of your country.

Yet China did not block this ban - What kind of a friend is China? A real friend would not have treated his "friend" like this this

China did not block the UN resolution even though it could have blocked it.

Pakistan approach china not to veto. just because Pakistan is doing necessary action not like Indian who always used the back door. why are you weeping so loudly you were involved in mukty bahnies, baluchistan insurgency.karachi riots and wazeristan terrorism. Pakistan is facing it why you are screaming so hard face like a man.

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Saturday said all the attempts aimed at isolating Pakistan failed by means of pursuing of better strategies. Addressing a press conference here, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said now voices are being raised from within India against waging of war. He said the international community endorsed Pakistan’s stance regarding Mumbai attacks. Newly elected U.S. vice president and other world leaders supported Pakistan’s standpoint during their visit here, he said, adding British foreign secretary David Miliband while touring India also spoke in favor of Pakistan. He said waging of war would have only caused damage to the peoples of both the countries. “India created a war-like situation by adventuring into the airspace of Pakistan but Pakistan remained firm on its anti-war stance,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said. He said India used a threatening tone in the beginning and put its forces along the border and attempts were made to isolate Pakistan on diplomatic front. However, U.S. and China lauded Pakistan’s view point, he added.
