India has no official refugee laws, every refugee in India is an illegal migrant. Some people are exempted and are given special permits, like Tibetans.
Muslim illegals from BD have no reason to be in India. They should go back. As for NRC in Assam, it is not perfect, there is a lot of flaws in it, many people have been included and many are excluded. It'll be corrected. As clarified by the government, NRC in Assam is not over.

So basically your argument is that all illegal Hindus from these countries are persecuted where as Muslims are not or cannot be. And millions of people will go through faith based tests and only Muslims will not be permitted in this secular federation.

I'm not aware of Islamic republics prosecuting muslims.
The sectarian and ethnic violence should be settled by those states by themselves.

You should have asked this question when they were cleansed in 1971. There sure are some economic migrants, but the majority of them came in were refugees from 1971 and their families.

Well let me explain.

BJP is not saying that they will provide citizenship to all the religious minorities from our neighboring countries who came here as refugees due too religious persecution. Rather, they are explicitly saying that, we will provide citizenship to all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, except Muslims.

The irony of the whole thing is that most of them the majority are Hindu Illegal immigrants from Bangladesh (14 Lacs as per NRC Assam) and who had never asked for refugee status rather living ILLEGALLY as neutralist Indian citizens. And I guess the motivation for most of them are the same gains that made Muslim Illegal immigrants to cross over the border since they never cared to apply for refugee status even after living here for decades ILLEGALLY.

Why should me and My country suffer the additional burden of any ILLEGAL immigrant irrespective of their religion who had not even taken the burden to even complaint that they were persecuted due to their religion, huh ??? Can you please care to explain these points ???

P.S: Citizenship for refugees is a whole different thing.

Come on he doesn't want more Hindus into our country. That is obvious. His opposition is all on that premise. And he thinks he has a say in it but bill supporters doesn't.

He quotes that BJP only got 36% vote share in last elections. Too bad, he doesn't know Indian constitution doesn't allow for proportionate representation based on vote share. It has majoritarian system. If he doesn't like it, then it's just too bad.
