If we had a a "nightmare" about them , we would not be all meeting in New Delhi. We would not be talking and implementing closer economic and military cooperation . If these countries were are getting "close" to Pakistan then they would not be in India while the OIC public relations gathering is taking place.

Those from theocratic regimes are bound see religion everywhere and its no surprises they perceive India's dealings with Central Asian nations being associated to faith in some element.

What escapes their intellect is India-Central Asia Dialogue is means to bypass SCO and deal directly with Central Asia nations without Moscow being overly protective.

The OIC meet seems to be bit of pre-1971 nostalgia hangover for Pakistanis. Pak leadership back then used to gloat that Pakistan is natural leader of Islamic world as it has largest population of Muslims. Arab leadership used to contemptuously mock this and even today their contempt is shown when its comes to economic loans etc.

However, lets play the devil's advocate and pretend to be Pakistani and assume this current meeting India has is a counter to Pakistan's influence in the Islamic world.

Even then, its not all well and good for Pakistan because most of the Muslim majority nations in the subcontinent's vicinity such as Bangladesh, Maldives, Iran and even Tajikistan have stronger ties with India at Pakistan's cost.
