Thanks to Japan..0.1% rate loan to India for construction a bullet train network in india to be used by indians while China giving Pakistan loan at 3% for a road and port to be used by Chinese only.They made Pakistanis fool...gwadar port is not going to give them a penny for 40 years but they have to pay back the construction cost with high interest rate...

But China is gaining hugely from its trade with India, while India is loosing. China sells $60 billion while buys just $9 billion. I think in future US could overtake China as India's largest partner because India gains from trade with US.

Early choice for Bullet trains in india was china but due to high interest rates and poor diplomacy wrt india, contract was awarded to japan.

The parts will be manufactured in India under agreement. The Japs want this project badly as their bids in other countries are not getting through due to stiff competition from China. India is a large market. They will try to take the advantage of China - India issue, by providing loans at very Cheap interest rates.

It's good for Japanese banks too as their banks are not doing well, trying to tackle negative interest rate.
