That is the Fundamental problem. We have made a person with ZERO knowledge about Economics as the Finance Minister. He may be a damn good lawyer and a damn honest man, but all that just adds up to zero in the Finance Ministry.

All he is going to do is listen to the Bureaucrats who has been educated in the soviet and british model of economics and any and all reform he is going to do is going to be directed by the bureaucrats. The usual giza pita stuff that has been going on for the last 70 years.

What we need is a Disruptor like Dr. Swamy to be the FM for at least 1 whole year. What he can do in 1 year, Jetlee cannnot do in 5 years and that is just the sad reality.

Its about time Modi put aside his fear or contempt for Dr. swamy get in the way of India's progress. India NEEDS Dr. Swamy and its about time Modi delivered.

Plus he has this give & take understanding with congress , he is good in negotiating deals with other political parties but honestly if you ask me does he has any vision for indian economy i don't think so. In political parties deal makers get higher positions than visionaries , look at cunt$ like rajiv shukla or amar singh.

Any party be it congress or bjp would go to someone like swamy only when they face another economic crisis like we faced in the 90s when it was do or die situation , that's the regular indian mentality , we do things only when it hurts. Narsimha rao had swamy as one of his advisers and implemented what he had been saying for years.
Under the current circumstances i don't think he will ever become a finance minister.

if he hasn't committed a scandal doesn't mean he is honest dude , there are other parameters of measuring a man's honesty , for example how honest is he to the party's ideology or how honest is he in going after the real criminals or in taking steps to improve the economy. I think this is where jethmalani & swamy have a problem with him and off-course there are other reasons as well which is he tried to get them sidelined. Swamy was attacking rajan also for the same reasons .

Reward him how ? i don't think he will settle in for anything less than a post as plump like the finance minister , atleast he sees himself as number 2 in bjp today , so where else can he be accommodated. If there was any strict performance assessment being done on him like other ministers he would have been gone by now on how he managed demonetization. Wait for another economic crisis to come , they maybe you might see subramanium swamy becoming finance minister , chances are quite remote for that .

One can always redefine honesty and debate its merits and demerits. But for all practical mattes, jaitley is honest. And that is what matters.

How Modi can accommodate him is Modi's problem. He created his Frankenstein monster, and now he has to deal with him. I am more interested in INDIA and its Economy and growth. And I see no better person than Dr. Swamy to do what he was meant to do in the first place.
