I see what you are saying!- I myself have a few Jain friends in Sowcarpet- I know that they are very picky- All that said- Its still wrong to advertise this in a communal way- (Eguating Halal and Haram is not the right example as Halal is part of being a Muslim, we need to respect that no!)- But again the establishment should have been more tactful in their response- for example- (The kitchen folks employed meet the standards for Jains/Hindus why just pick on Muslims?-They did not mention Christians did they?)

Yea but in that case we will be back to square one? How can a non Muslim do Halal killing? So today a meat company (any) advertises Halal it says it's done by Muslims. Means that job is kinda reserved for them. In a Muslim company it's like unwritten rule 100% will be from their community. M community will want only a Halal meat done as per their religion which means it should be done only by Muslims. Now Jains will come back and say we will eat only if done by Jains.?

Yes thats the beauty of this- Let the public choose where they want to spend their money as per their beliefs- No need to mention religions as a form of advertisement. The Jain or Brahmin owned food business can advertise accordingly to meet their ask - No. My point is why mention Staff is non Muslim (Non Muslims are not the only criteria for Jains, even Hindus (Meat Eaters are but was not mentioned).

It is absolutely discrimatory ,why should any business owner give a timely fee to a halal certifying muslim authority to check whether a product is ok for muslims to eat ?
How can this be allowed in a secular country ?
Why should Hindus/Sikhs/Jain/Christians be forced to buy muslim certified products ?
In the process of meat butchering it is completely reserved for muslims.

Even Pork shops exists, that too less than 1 km distance. But I don't buy from them, simple.
