China 2003 GDP 1.66trillion, nerely same India in 2010,1.67trillion, gap 7years

China 2004 GDP 1.955trillion, nerely 2014 India GDP 2.039 trillion,India spent 4 years, gap 10years

China 2005 GDP 2.286trillion, nerely 2016 India GDP 2.29trillion,India spent 2 years, gap 11years

China 2006 GDP 2.75trillion, nerely 2018 India GDP 2.7 trillion,India spent 2 years, gap12years

China 2007 GDP 3.55trillion, nerely 202* India GDP 3.* (3.1 trillion in 2021),India already spent 4 years, gap 15years

China from 2003-2007 spent 3years
India from 2010 to now had spent 11 years to catch up 2007's China

how long india will...

. . . .
I remember some years ago I had a multiple pages debate with some Indians who claimed that India was at most only 5 years behind China, and they provided lots of studies, data, charts and research papers to back up this claim.

Never waste time arguing with Indians.

I know people here find it hard to believe it, but the living room chit chat in middle class India has always been "China is way ahead of India", a sort of grudging respect and not chest thumping that "we are as developed as China". The OP has made some interesting comparisons year to year. I wish we could say that in lieu of faster growth we have performed better on other indicators like social equity, but even that is not true.

On a more pragmatic note, even if India were to double its GDP per capita for every individual, it would dramatically improve the lives of so many. Constantly comparing with countries way ahead of you can be overwhelming and lead to wrong priorities like Bullet trains and over construction in already choked cities. There is no point of these if the security guard in a fancy tech park still earns Rs 12000 a month. We need wage reforms in private sector.

Meanwhile in the Real world,

Wait, it gets better.

The Unemployed and semi-unemployed might reach 300M+ people/Newly unemployed in 7 industries

Ever wonder WHY chinese wumao desperately open such threads ?
'China insight ', you got it😂
NGO's money is not wasted.
these people are all strategically deceiving Westerners and make money by the way.

Let me make it simple.

If I have to choose between China Insight and Chinese Wumao, I will ALWAYS choose China Insight to understand what is happening inside china.

Here is another good one, China Uncensored,

China collapsing, Jai hind!

Of course, you're Indian! Unless it is bad news about China then it cannot be true.

China is collapsing but it can afford 56 space launches to India's two. lol
