You are right Pakistan's problems are resolvable. Where I beg to differ is that if you could not fix it in the last 70 years I see no reason why it would get fixed magically in the future.
Nothing wrong with your analysis except to begin with Pakistan has less diversity, less population density and less problems than India. Yet it has done worse than India. Worse Pakistan has partially mortgaged its future with 140 billion foreign debt and no foreign reserves. You lack even the 2nd tier businessmen & industrialists India has.
Pakistan for the first 50 years did better, in many cases much better, you can look up various indexes, GDP etc
It's the last 20 years that's caused a problem, where other nations have changed and moved Pakistan has been stuck in a loop, our politicians are exactly the same as they were 20-30 years ago
People are getting tired and in many ways this is the last roll of the dice for the "establishment" they have removed a democratic government and even prior they pulled the strings to keep things under check and control (think sisi and Egypt v Morsi government)
So now the establishment are back on top or control and they have to produce something
If you read between the lines they are panicking, things are actually moving at pace, because these clowns now have to actually produce some tangible results before everyone just looses their shit
Either way at some point, these clowns due to compulsion will bring in reforms or they will break and the sheer frustration of the population will force reform
Pakistan at this point will grow VERY QUICKLY, once it goes into the growth cycle, Pakistan will be a place where investment will come quickly because it's underdeveloped and the scope for development is massive
China understands this, so it took an early lead, but it didn't understand the kind of trapped society Pakistan and didn't realise how the system will oppose change and development so ferociously because they dont want the system to change because they are on top
