So what we should think about this U-TURN of india. They refused to talk and now asking what we said about to Siddhu sb. Is it because Siddhu has become popular in Punjab over this issue and to counter this Modi has decided to tread on the same path?

Your opinions r invited.

Lol, I told ya all to be patient. The business men in India are aloof to petty hatred and their only religion is money, they worship money and will die for money. US can't have their embargo on Iran insulted and so Indians need to find another solution , even if it means bowing to their enemy. Pakistan needs to do it's strategic and security calculations and decide whether it is in our interest to agree to the corridor and ensure if we do agree that all risks are thoroughly evaluated and diminished.

Siddhu is a nobody in Indian politics, you are reading too much into this.

Wow, it was Pakistan's suggestion first to facilitate the Khalistani brothers and Gangadesh hindu leadership was not willing at first but that was a very calculated move and hindutva leadership has now willy nilly bowed down.

. .
We should do everything to facilitate sikhs. It will be good for us in longer terms.
exactly...although pakistani stance is very clear in this regard that they have no objection in opening the boarder for Sikh Yatries .... govt should further make necessary arrangements to facilitate the visitors not because of political reasons .. but for humanitarian reasons
because .... if we muslims can visit Makah christian and Jews can visit Jerusalem freely then it make no sense to keep away the sikh from their holly places.

But congress can capitalize on Sidhu.
Slogans r needed in elections and this is attractive for sikhs so he may get what a politician wants.

Sikh votes are crucial in maybe 15 out of total 545 seats. To top it of, Modi's BJP is in alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal, the largest and most influential Sikh political party who also happen to have control of the all Sikh religious bodies. Not to forget, the stigma of anti Sikh riots of 1984, fanned and fuelled by the congressi goons. Just a few days ago, two rioters were sentenced to death after all these years. More convictions are to follow. Point being, Siddhu's theatrics are inconsequential as far as the national politics and Modi goes.

The Indian government was always going to announce the Kartarpur Sahid corridor and it was scheduled to coincide with Guru Nanak's 550th Jayanti. Siddhu must have gotten a whiff of it, and pulled the stunt in Imran Khan's inauguration ceremony to try and get credit for it.

Siddhu is an ambitious man and is merely setting himself up as the top contender of Punjab state Congress once Captain Amrinder Singh decides to step down (Which I don't see happening anytime soon). I don't know if you know, but Siddhu was part of the BJP prior to this. Once he realised that he would never get to be the top dog in Punjab, as BJP is a junior partner in the Akali Dal- BJP alliance in Punjab, he quit the BJP and joined Congress. He is as much a hawk now as he was during his days with BJP, so don't let his stunts fool you.
