No that state can not survive independent.as soon as India freed it China and Pakistan will occupy it in no time and why India will free it,It is strategically Important for India.Its worth of the resources we are spending on Kashmir.We have built many dams which can be used against Pakistan.It is easy to keep a check on China from ladakh as It is on height

Exactly, They are demanding for Kashmir (i.e. Plebecite) only because Kashmir is a residence of an enormous number of Muslim community people... Also Islam is the fastest growing religion in india due to denial of birth control, PolyGyni etc. (no offence please...)

If Kashmir was part of India or Pakistan; why it was not included in any country at the time of partition in 1947 and if it was an independent state having the rights to decide about their future; they should be given this right now also to decide about their future. Let both countries go for a referendum like it happened in Scotland and that is the only solution to this issue. Proxy war or a full scale war is not a solution but it will destroy both the countries in all sectors.
The countries like Pakistan and India where unemployment and poverty is taller then the "Burj Khaleefa" and majority of people or bound to go abroad to survive should not think about war.... "No One can win a War, Every one Looses"
