Really? Then why are developed countries predicting a stunning rise in islamic population? They have some very prosperous muslim immigrants there. Please don't tell me rampant conversion; it is more to do with having multiple partners and from them many kids..

well.. in those countries muslims are generally recent migrants from poor countries who live in ghettos, living in rich country does not makeyou affluent or middle class. for example poorer muslims from north africa and turkey migrate(main migrant groups to europe)...afluent and rich people stay back.

We're not talking about immigrants here, we are talking about native Muslim people of India. They have a significantly higher birth rate than Hindus and other minority groups. So your comparison is invalid. Not to mention Muslim migration into India is also growing primarily from Bangladesh into provinces like West Bengal and Bihar and other parts of India.

I was answering Tshering. The Bangali Muslims of East Pakistan were migrating to West Pakistan especially to Karachi. After 1971, Hindu and Muslim Bangalis from Bangladesh started migrating to India. The Indian created their own problem since the emergence of Bangladesh had uninteded consequences.

Uneven growth of demography causes imbalance in society. It is even more true for a country like India, a country with great diversity.

Apart from that, population explosion is not something to be taken lightly. Proper family planning is very much necessary. We may not take decisive measures like what China had done in the past, but we need to take it up in priority.
A family should not have more members than it can sustain. Having lots of kids whom you cannot provide for properly does not really help anybody.It just becomes a National burden to carry for one more generation.

Now, why talking about Muslim population. Most of the current generation middle class Hindu families have one or two children on an average. But the Muslim families have around 4-5.And none of them are exactly building Taj Mahals here.

So, it might look like a racial undertone, but it is not. It is plain and simple reality and the sooner we deal with it, the better it will be. Lot of people are there in India today, irrespective of religion, who don't deem family planning to be a good thing. There may be religious sentiments attached to it, or they just don't want to change. Changing that thought process is the challenge here.

India is with Hindu rulers now. No chance of Islamic dominance, atleast in India. Islam, Christianity all are attacked directly and indirectly through propaganda machinery of RSS. Hindus are going to rule now and democracy will be also ending within a decades time, if things are progressing as RSS Guru's want to be. Minorities especially Christians will be dealt forcibly and with Sunni Muslims, RSS will force them to never grow with economic growth and education. RSS copied from "the book" of invaders and now eternal Dhimmitude(Mlecchas or infidels under RSS rule will be treated as 2nd class citizen with no voting power, cannot own land etc as imagined by sant mahamahodaya golwalkar) is awaiting Musalman in India. Whole Muslim nations, if come together cannot do anything now. Imagine the punya pavan Bharat dharti where every Mosque has a Ganesha idol placed and worshipped as envisaged by Sangh-ily retarded deva thakur(here). Nothing Muslims can do now. RSS is the world's largest and best organized religion and they are martial too- you know with all the children organizations like Bajrang dal. They can even reverse a Muslim's kalima by Ghar wapsi.

The worst thing is that after a 5000carore advertisement campaign by RSS, India elected RSS rulers.

I think u r wrong here. What Czar is saying is true. Most of middle class families in Bombay now Mumbai have one or 2 children maxmium.Of recent late marriages r quite a common thing. Accomodation is very expensive & so education. A good private school will charge yearly 90,000 to 1 lac as fees(1500$ to 1600$).Last week I was traveling by a local train. I came across a Muslim couple with 4 children. I began to wonder what kind of education & personal attention he would give to his family.

Muslim population increase will not benefit Muslim because they are so divided and if they become one they can easily change the out come of any election in their favour .
Family planning is against the religion so they will never accept it in public but may be in long term they will do it in individual level.

At some point in the 2020s, India will be home to more Muslims than any other country in the world.

A study released last week by the Pew Research Center predicts that by 2050, the world’s Islamic population will rise enough that there will be almost as many Muslims as Christians—possibly for the first time in history.

The report’s data shows the Muslim population of India is set to expand at a rate fast enough that the South Asian nation will overtake Indonesia as the country with the most Muslims sometime between 2020 and 2030.

“Because Muslims in Indonesia are having fewer children, India is expected to pass Indonesia and become the country with the world’s largest Muslim population,” the report said.

Hindus in India will continue to far outnumber Muslims. But Muslims’ share of population will rise, Pew expects, to around 18% in 2050 from about 15% today.

Over the same period, India’s Hindu population will likely slip from around 80% today to about 77% in 2050.

According to Pew, between 2010 and 2050, India will add about 325 million Hindus and 100 million Muslims. That would represent a growth rate of around 33% for India’s Hindus and 57% for Muslims.

In many countries around the world, migration and conversion is driving changes in religious mix. In India the growth in the Muslim minority is mainly attributed to fertility rates.

In India, the average fertility rate for Muslims is 3.2. That means the average Muslim woman is expected to bear at least three children in her lifetime. Hindus in India have a rate of 2.4, Christians a rate of 2.3.

Migration isn’t as big an issue in India because few people of other religions migrate to the country—though migration from India is boosting the Hindu population in countries around the world.

Despite accusations that different religions are trying to convert Hindus in India, the Pew report did not include any data about conversions in India.

The report predicts there will be a tiny net gain in the global Hindu population through religious switching in the period from 2010 to 2050. However it did not include numbers from India because it is such a controversial topic and there is not enough reliable data.

“After analyzing Indian survey data and consulting other sources of information on the country, researchers were unable to discern a clear pattern of religious switching,” the report’s appendix says. “As a result, this report does not estimate religious switching in India.”
