One sub was enough to take care of western command now they have 3 and with p3c Orion it will be nice to see how India will implement sea denial to Pakistan .

PAF is getting ready for future dedicated naval version of JF17 with ashm including cruise and cm400akg with the help of Chinese AWACS to guide them right @ Indian ship. And kaboom

It will be easy for Pakistan to block India ship lane and choke India in the future so it's good idea for India to have alternAte gas supplier other the the gulf country .

Operating that far from land isn't easy. Electric submarines, silently lurking beneath the waves are a LOT difficult to hunt hundreds of meters below. That renders your aerial capability ineffective due to it's inherent capability handicap (it's searching for signatures high above the ocean) and the fact that range is limited as you go further out from your home base and have to make it back. All Pakistan needs to do is lay an ambush under the sea, sit silently. Ships passing over or near you cannot hear you, because you are directly under the wake, but you can clearly hear then above.

There is a reason why US-NATO setup the SONUS net in the Atlantic. It is not easy to detect slow moving deep diving submarines.

The airforce will be tied up supporting the pak army and defending there own assets the pak navy needs there own squadron of aircraft.

They already have that, the Mirage squadron at Karachi is just for that, and probably JF-17s are next.

Seeing as India has 2 nuclear powered subs and 13 conventional powered subs v/s pakistan having 5 conventional powered subs with 2 being Agosta 70 which is an ancient model.

15 subs v/s 3 subs. A naval blockade should be easy.

They are not going to fight each other so we don't have to worry and IN knows how potent threat P-3s with Agosta will be specially in NCW environment and PN is also interested in SAM which can be launched from subs submerged. PN is trained by US on NCW fighting capability so they will be very potent in this as they don't have to take control of vast sea.
