What's new

Imran Khan declares legal war against drone attacks.

It is all empty bravado. Imran's own kids are sitting in UK. When it will be too "hot" in Pakistan, he too will disappear, leaaving us the masses in Pakistan to bear the consequences of his ill advice.

Those who want to take on NATO/USA must realize the end of Sad-Damn who was caught hiding in dirt hole, or this Ahmaq Mullah Umer who disappeared from the scene leaving his people to bear the brunt of attacks.

These are all paper tigers who run away or get burned, but their countries get destroyed either way.

pathetic. Just pathetic.

lol what a shameful comment. Why he cant live in Uk now ? why risk his life and waste time for a nation with ppl like u ? Mother of his child have court order that she can have children so how cant Imran Khan get them to Pakistan despite he wish that ? And remeber his wife lived in Pakistan but she left because of ppl like u. Find another issue against Imran khan and try to find better than his personal life.

Any politician who challenges NATO/USA better have a plan to keep the people of Pakistan safe from sanctions (economic war) AND the military strikes.

However if a politician's own family lives far away from Pakistan, and he makes big militaristic anti-NATO statements, then we should call him what he deserves to be called "a Hypocrite". Because his family is safe, while he is jeopardizing the whole of Pakistan.

Iran and North Korea are under economic attack aka sanctions. As a result Iranian Tumman/Riyal has lost so much value that Iranian gov is printing million tumman denomination certificates.

So much down from Sha's prosperous era, this bud-nejat has brought the street value of tumman like 10,000 to a dollar. Iran cannot export petrol even though they have huge resevers of petroleum. Why? Because they are under economic attack.

North Korea is a beggar who has the nukki bumb, and yet he is crying for few gallons of petrol and few bags of rice. Every time he explodes a nukkie, he brings out his begging bowl looking for food and fuel. Just compare South Korea and see the same people, with same history and language are doing millions times better.

This is what happens when countries go under economic attack. They become beggars of beggar.

If you study the history of army attacks. They always follow by first weakening the economy of the enemy country.

Few dimwits in Pak think that our nukki bumbs will save us. Sir they will explode on our own heads, and our own land will become radioactive for the next 2400 years.

Is that what you want Sir? Is that what you want to happen to your parents land? while you are sitting 1000's of mile away protected by the NATO/US troops and their secret services?

Is it Ironic or Hippocratic? you decide.

peace.

p.s. In BDesh too, we should have signed the peace treaty BEFORE starting the army action and taken our precious jawans out of there. If that's what you were implying. Butto tore apart Polish Plan and then signed the same peace treaty many years later. Then people say he was smart. huh!

Sir, you were jumping too much. I'd like to avail this opportunity by concluding all of what you said in gazillion sentences, in one sentence--You are a dog anyways--Be my dog and get a bone...

.
Is it Ironic or Hippocratic? you decide.

I always wanted the best for my Pak Sarzameen and my parent's/grandparents'/great-grandparents' PAK SARZAMEEN, but I would feel very angry and disappointed at my government and army if they could not protect my family from attack by a foreign country. The people of FATA also deserve to be safe in their Pak Sarzameen. They are Pakistanis too and Pakistan belongs to them as much as it belongs to General Kayani or Prime Minister Gilani.

Glad that you agree that there shouldn't had been an army action against our own people. Now dont start a North Waziristan operation on Uncle Sam's orders. Learn from your history.

.
....The people of FATA also deserve to be safe in their Pak Sarzameen. ....

This is an important point and we need to consider two important threats to the FATA's innocent people.

1. FATA people killed by drones
2. FATA people killed by Taliboobies.

Taliboobies have killed 100 (if not 1000) times more FATA residents than the drones.

Please tell us why you and your god Imran doesn't say a word about taliboobies?

...attacks in NW....

Were you against the use of army in Swat and South Wazirastan?

Because if you were, then you are living 10000's of miles away from REAL Pakistan.

Peace.

Is that because they are OUR boobies?

Where were these Taliban before the US invasion of Afghanistan? Why before US invasion of Afghanistan FATA was the most peaceful area in Pakistan, and today is internationally known as the most dangerous place in the world?

Go to the root of the problem. Dont believe everything westerners tell you? Westerners wouldn't care what happens to a South Asian Islamic Republic with 180 million Muslims. When a cat or a dog dies, westerners are in tears but when a Pakistani Muslim dies from drone attacks these westerners celebrate. Dont go out of your way to impress the people who dont give a hoot about you. Have some self esteem. Remember why you fought for your independence in 1947 from the British.

They were right there under our noses. How could you forget the Sufi jahannam walay's TNSM attacks in Swat and Bajore areas?

Why people are so ignorant of the threat posed to Pakistan even when Talibans were cutting noses and destroying girl schools and bombing Budhha (that was a really mental act by Mullah omer)?

Is that because many of the Talib supporter are suffering from amnesia?

peace.

Hey. I never met his wife. If she left it was because of HIM and HIM alone. It was a matter between the man and woman. Why are you saying that I was responsible for leaving Pak.

Believe you me, had she met me, she would have stayed in Pakistan. ;)

Sir it is you who are trying to bring his personal life in this thread.

My reference was ONLY to point out his KIDS being safely out of country like any other despicable Pakistani politician.

Hope you see the point now.

Nation should be ready for long term struggle to restore the peace ,justice and prosperity and independence of Pakistan with Imran Khan , he will not do match fixing , i am sure

apart from your wish to have had relationship chance with IK's Ex, IK's kids are with their mother because of the LAW.

Deadly Drone Strike by U.S. May Fuel Anger in Pakistan

By JANE PERLEZ and ISMAIL KHAN
Published: April 22, 2011

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — An American drone attack killed 23 people in North Waziristan on Friday, Pakistani military officials said, in a strike against militants that appeared to signify unyielding pressure by the United States on Pakistan’s military amid increasing opposition to such strikes.

The strike came a day after the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, met with the Pakistani military chief, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, and asked that Pakistan do more to fight militants who use North Waziristan as a base from which to attack United States and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

The assault was the second show of the United States’ determination to continue drone attacks since the head of Pakistan’s spy agency, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha, met this month in Washington with Director Leon E. Panetta of the Central Intelligence Agency to request a halt to the strikes.

Friday’s attack could further fuel anti-drone sentiment among the Pakistani public. A government official in North Waziristan told Pakistani reporters that five children and four women were among the 23 who were killed.

The attack singled out forces of a militant commander, Hafiz Gul Bahadur, whose loyalists cross the border into Afghanistan to fight American and NATO soldiers, the government official said.

Mr. Bahadur operates under a peace accord with the Pakistani Army that ensures that militants under his control do not attack Pakistani soldiers but concentrate only on allied soldiers.

Those killed Friday were gathered in Spinwam, an area close to Mir Ali in North Waziristan that had become a hub for militants in the past several months, the official said.

In the increasing public war of nerves between the American and Pakistani armies, Pakistan’s government is allowing a planned anti-NATO protest to go ahead in Peshawar this weekend. A political leader, Imran Khan, has called on protesters to stage a sit-in on Saturday to block trucks carrying NATO supplies for the war in Afghanistan. The trucks travel through Peshawar from the seaport of Karachi to Torkham, the gateway to Afghanistan.

The drone strike on Friday came after Admiral Mullen delivered an unusually harsh message during his visit here, saying publicly that Pakistan’s spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence, directly supported and abetted the Haqqani network of militants in North Waziristan. The network’s militants are responsible for many of the American casualties in Afghanistan, American commanders say.

The United States has long held that the Haqqani network was supported by the Pakistani spy agency, but it rarely says so publicly.

In a separate episode, between the Pakistani military and the Taliban, 16 soldiers from the Pakistani Frontier Corps were killed Thursday when their checkpoint was overrun by 150 militants near the Afghanistan border, a Pakistani security official said.

The battle continued for close to 12 hours at Kharkai in the northern district of Dir in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province, formerly North-West Frontier Province. Two officers sent to reinforce the troops were killed in an ambush, the official said.

The attack by the militants on Pakistani soldiers came as the army embarked on a renewed assault in Mohmand, part of the tribal areas that have proved difficult for the Pakistani Army to hold.

In a report to Congress this month, the Obama administration complained that the Pakistani Army had “no clear path” toward defeating the insurgency inside Pakistan, and cited the failed efforts to eradicate the militants from Mohmand as an illustration. The army “was failing for the third time in two years” to clear militants from Mohmand, the report said.

The 150 militants who carried out the attack on Thursday appeared to have fled the army assault to Afghanistan and then re-entered Pakistan to strike at the soldiers.

General Kayani, the chief of the Pakistani military, visited Mohmand on Thursday for the second stage of a new assault focused on the Suran, a narrow valley on the border with Afghanistan.

In the last few months, American and NATO forces on the other side of the border of Mohmand have helped Pakistan to attack militants as they escaped into Afghanistan, the Pakistani security official said. But the Pakistani militants who attacked in Dir on Thursday appeared to have escaped before the assault on the Suran began and were allowed to re-enter Pakistan by elements in the Afghan Army who were assisting them, the official said.

Jane Perlez reported from Islamabad, and Ismail Khan from Peshawar, Pakistan.

All political parties are amazed at his popularity these days and can't control their burning arses now, and I suspect Military/Intelligence support to Imran Khan too. I don't know about the rest of the country, but surely he is going to clean sweep in KP in the coming elections - and he deserves a chance just like all those other parties.

I'm off to Dharna now, will post the updates later in the evening Inshallah. Take care everyone

Imran's statement is very patriotic and does make sense.

But will it come to be?

.
Indians want soft spoken, USA-puppet my man-Mun-Mohan for India

That sissy, soft spoke, puppet etc etc.... PM of ours was the Finance minister in 1990 and his led to the 9% growth we are seeing today unlike some country that opted a hard military man a few later who was an ACTUAL PUPPET of the USA.
MMO is one of the best economists and personally one of the most hones people that world has seen. He cant give a speech without putting you to sleep he was a professor of econ and owned a maruti 800. Pakistan wouldnt have have half the problems it does if it had a MMO

.
Myth, are you satisfied with other parties in power for the last 22 or so years? If yours answer is Yes you are a lair if your answer is No suggest who should come forward to run Pakistan.
Altaf bahi's party is the best solution for Pakistan and the best thing that could ever happen to Pakistan! :D hehe

You have tested ppp, pml-n, pml-q and all failed would you let Mr. Imran Khan to use his magic wand, lets try him.
I would love IK to become President or Prime Minster of this nation today so his hypocrisy could be exposed and in fact he himself is not ready yet and neither wants to take over such responsibilities. So him being a hypocrite politician that he is of the highest order, is merely using this current situation for his political gains and only when he is approved by his western masters to proceed to become the leader of this nation only then he has some chances of becoming a leader mean while enjoy his fantasy land.
So what is your stance on drone attacks? And what is wrong if he is looking up to earn votes, He has every right to because he has legally a political party that wants to being about Change in Pakistan, don't you want to see the change?
I would love to see those drone attacks disappear but how is that going to happen is a million dollars question.
He is a hypocrite by using the advantage of being in opposition where he does not have to do anything practically to solve the situation so he is just making hopeless hopes to satisfy confused awam's ego.
I see people like you failing Pakistan by voting liars, theives, hypocrites murderers.
Read my sig and I hope it helps you in your quest to change Pakistan.
At the moment I only hear bunch of noises and no sense.

.
@ Luftwaffe I am not sure if you know this guy, but he is waiting for some Mehdi.

Because he will be the guided one by Allah only unlike other Pakistani leaders who are only guided by their western masters.
