Why sit in parliament then if send lanat on it?

Serious question. I think everyone regardless of political alliegance will say that parliament is corrupt and inefficient. It reflects acurrately the low rate members within it.

PTI have chosen to be a part of the system and try and win control in order to change the system. It is argued that this method is ineffective. I am sceptical at it's chances of success myself.

The only other solution I have heard is from the likes of Zaid Hamid who want a military takeover and then the installation of a "technocrat" government to fix this.

If you want to change that how do you propose someone does that?

.
So what you want then? Army rule? Nothing is wrong with system/institution itself . If he curse parliament then why he is part of it?
Actually I don't want Army rule. Rather I think our entire system of government needs to be revised into something based on merit rather than who can garner the most idiots to vote for his party which is basically what we have right now.
If he curse parliament then why he is part of it?
Because you can't allow the looters of the country to have a completely free-reign. Joining the parliament is a necessary evil unfortunately.

. .
1999-2008 disaster?

Exactly. I don't think there is a short term fix tbh. Personally I think we're more likely if we had a dedicated dictatorship for the next 30 years, like Singapore or Malaysia benefited from, but then whats to say that won't go the way or Iraq or Libya? What great work has it done in Iran?

The current system is failing us as well though. It's rigged to make sure it doesn't produce any good.

Cursing the parliament while also being part of it has exposed the double standards of the PTI chief

Khairunisa-Mughal.jpg

In its quest for democracy, Pakistan has undergone a laborious political journey with military punctuating its short and occasional democratic periods with coups and long seizure of power.

The long periods of dictatorial obscurantism have indoctrinated the minds of political leaders such as Imran Khan. The development of major political parties and leaders as major democratic force has been marred by dictatorship.

Mr Khan — being one of them — has time and again has not only undermined the efforts of Pakistan’s founding fathers but also insulted the martyrdom of those who laid their lives for the restoration of democracy in the country.

Parliament is the heart of democracy: It represents the will and aspirations of masses. By ridiculing the parliament, Khan has disrespected the people it represents.

Cursing the parliament while also being part of it has exposed the double standards of the PTI chief.

Before uttering such strong and hateful words, Khan should have kept in his mind that he, along with his 31 MNAs, is part of the same institution.

The fascistic and anti-democracy mentality of the PTI Chairman is reflective of his patronage for the dictatorial regime in the past.

When the stifled democracy needed political leaders to stand for it against the autocratic tendencies of Pervez Musharraf’s dictatorship, history is witness to the fact that Imran Khan was on the side of the dictator.

The role played by dictators is being repeated by Khan; dictators dissolved the assemblies, Mr Khan is trying hard to interrupt the democratic continuity by demanding early dissolution of democratically-elected assemblies. Dictators did not respect the sanctity of parliament; the words uttered by Mr Khan for the Parliament speak volumes about the respect for the supreme institution of the country in the heart of Mr Khan.

Parliament is the heart of democracy: It represents the will and aspirations of the masses. By ridiculing the parliament, Khan has disrespected the people it represents

Pakistan Peoples’ Party has always remained ahead of all other parties in fighting against dictators and establishment of democracy and same was the case in 2007 when people of Pakistan stood with Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in reviving democracy. But Mr Khan was reluctant to step up for revival of democracy by boycotting the 2008 elections. However, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was given threats. . But yet, she returned to Pakistan and sacrificed her life to restore democratic system in the country and to let Parliament achieve its supremacy. But, sadly, leaders like Mr. Imran Khan who are new to politics curse the parliament because they are unaware of the power of democracy which was rightly presented by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in her slogan, “Democracy is the best revenge”.

Human mind may forget but chronicles of history record everything and the name of political leader who was nominated as their representative by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is still fresh on the pages of history. Mr. Khan could only be said democratic if the definition of democracy is changed because his name being nominated by TTP was in no way representation of the people who lost their near and dear ones in fighting against the terrorists. Mr Khan was busy in derailing the democratic system when the sad incident of Army Public School occurred; and that very organization claimed the responsibility who had nominated Mr Khan as their representative. Democracy is focused on the welfare of people but regrettably Mr Khan’s definition seems to be different- focused on cursing the will of people.

These are merely few examples which demand PTI Chief for introspection for the wrong decisions he made in the past. He is heading the third-largest party in the National Assembly, therefore, it does not behove him to give such statements for the people-elected parliament. Imran should reflect upon the lives-lost, people suffered jails and sacrifices made in this arduous journey of attaining the supremacy of the parliament. He should at least peep into the history of undemocratic nations, which troubled the generations, destroyed hopes of young souls and created hurdles in the nations’ way towards becoming a developed and civilised country.

Thus, Imran Khan should not only take his words back, but also apologise to the nation for cursing the parliament. It is democracy which can ensure the freedom, equality, rule of law and prosperity of the country and nation as it is said “the worst democracy is better than dictatorship.”

It's so unfortunate that we have such a bloody idiot in our politics who has no shame bad-mouthing against every single constitutional institution in Pakistan. This lanati has cursed our parliament too. But this utterly shameless scumbag does not resign from that parliament. He is like a dog that urinates on the same stuff that he eats. This filthy animal has introduced such an ugly trend of intolerance, insulting, and bad-mouthing in our politics. I wish him a good riddance for the sake of a civilized political culture in Pakistan. After reading about the cold-blooded murder of a third year medical student in KP, my blood is boiling not because the murderer was allowed to flee the country but rather because this idiot is doing bakwas about all other things but not focusing on the rule of law in KP. She was not just murdered out of the blue. She was continuously harassed by the criminals (including one district head of this badmash tola called PTI) and she was running door to door for help in KP power corridors. No one helped the poor girl. She was ultimately murdered. That doubles my pain as I have daughters too. Only a shameless SoB will support this charsi khhota and his gang of bloody crokks.

You have zero clue of what you are talking about. You want entire democratic system to be based on merit . Who will make this merit list to elect prime minister to lead the country? Potians who label every other person (who dont vote for PTI or Imranistan) as corrupt, ganwar, Jahil even if he is their own father. You should realize that even imranoo dont duatribute party ticket based on merit thatswhy son of Jhangit tareen got party ticket easily because of his fathr

I have enough of this BS that parliment is corrupt and bhonga khan joined politics and is part of parliment to start dry cleaning process by collecting all left overs from others political parties . Its all game of thrones. Nothing more and nothing less. This slogan of change and dry cleaning process is there just to grab more votes from naive public based on false hopes and rhetorics otherwise PTI is not any different than others poltical parties who all have good and bad apples in them.

He is same imran who was making fun of parliment during dharna and then went to sit in parliment and we heard this famous saying " kohee sharam hoti ha " Kohe haya hoti hai" thok kar chatna kohee imran khan se seekhey

What's the big deal? It's not like IK called for dismantling parliament is it? He merely condemned its members for their performance, right? What is "undemocratic" about that?

No he cursed the institution of parliment while being part of it. If he has no faith in parliament then he should resign from it . Bad mouthing parliment while taking salary from it is hypocrisy.

I'd need the exact quotes to judge, I suppose.

A parliament is not a yes-men club. Embarrassing fellow MPs out of their torpidity counts as calling them to account and is thus fair game.

First of all, I have no favorite politicians or crooks. It's just a sick-minded idiot who is trying to justify a cold-blooded murder of an innocent girl in the garb of 'my crooks and your crooks' blame game. You should be ashamed of yourself. But I doubt. Animals are devoid of human feelings. The poor girl had nothing to do with any politician, least so to Sharifs. Before her murder, she approached to and cried in front of the uncle (who is the district head of PTI) of the murderer and KP police. All of them miserably failed her - actually not just her but us all as a nation. You are trying to justify that murder by saying that some other politician had done this or that? I don't really respond to sick-minded idiots but I wanted to make a point to exposing shameless animals on this forum. I don't wish anything like that happen to your daughter or sister (even though a filthy psycho wouldn't realize the pain of that crime) but if that happens how would you justify that with some failure of another politician.

Will you please read again what I have said, the victim and her father belong to ANP, KPK police have already gone to Saudi Arabia to arrest the culprit, yes you are right hopefully this kind incident shouldn't hopefully happen to our sister or daughter, why should I be ashamed of myself, its you that is trying to paint this as if its all PTI's fault and Noony tunes are some kind of angels, yes there are faults in KPK police but not as bad as Punjab police and Sindh, The biggest culprits is PMNL because they have failed to bring a legislation In parliament to bring reforms in the system, but it seems you are looking towards a one way street.
