Kasam se, I pay 35% of my income directly to the government in income tax. Then any single thing I buy I pay 17% on it in GST. There is a reason why the Canadian government is able to provide services, because of how much tax they collect.


Pakistan tax to GDP ratio is merely 9%, yet the naysti quam wants perks and privileges that you will get in a developed western country.

I have already said that wealthy should be brought in the tax bracket. The more you make the more you pay, however, you are hell bent upon criticizing PTI that you've totally ignored it. When something has materialized in past 70 years, than why you in your right mind would expect it to happen in less than 2 years? Seriously, just listen to yourself, its not even funny anymore.

That said, this is not the point of discussion, we were discussing improvement in tax collection. And you have already said it yourself that there is 30% improvement, but then to neutralize your statement and to criticize your threw regional average on the table, which is totally unfair.

Opposition people are arrested and then inquiries are launched. Why is Khusro not in NAB custody. The complaint was launched couple of years a go and has now being converted into investigation.

Zulfi Bukhari's investigation was closed within six months due to lack of evidence while people related to opposition are in jail for more than six months and not even a proper reference has been filed.

It does not matter Khan is mad or not Tareen is making money and shall keep on making money because he finances khan.

Khan has been living on peoples money for years and can not ask them not to make money legally or illegaly.

In Norway I pay 36 percent income tax and 25 percent vat on everything I purchase. Compare this with Pakistan

Remeber we are facing 40% devaluation (that should be factored in) and 800 billion rupees bomb of interest rate adjustment ..

In this situation all you get is 30%

They can if govts follow them to the letter. Pakistan has taken more than 21 imf loans and not a single time followed their solutions to fix the economy. India went to IMF once and fixed its economy the first time.
