Drone strike kills six in N Waziristan | DAWN.COM

MIRANSHAH: A US drone attack on a militant compound in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal district killed six insurgents on Sunday, security officials said.

The unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on the compound in Shawal district, 50 kilometres southwest of Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan tribal district, near the Afghan border, they said.

“Two missiles targeted the compound, killing six militants,” a security official told AFP.

The strike destroyed the house and triggered a fire,” another official said.

“It was difficult to identify the bodies immediately as some of them were charred,” he said.

Washington considers Pakistan’s semi-autonomous northwestern tribal belt the main hub of Taliban and al Qaeda militants plotting attacks on the West and in Afghanistan.

A similar attack in the region on Tuesday killed five militants

You are wrong, many times Taliban militants have assaulted US bases in Kunar and Nuristan province , but forces have repulsed their assaults by using close air support.

Please dont drag International law into account only when the situation is not favorable to you, Harboring Terrorists and State terrorism is also prohibited by International Law.

And Pakistan disagrees with both and denies both - the US on the other hand openly accepts conducting illegal military operations on Pakistani soil, so there is no question of its violation of international law.

Secondly, given the obvious retort from people like you on the issue of 'safe havens in Pakistan constitution State Support for the Taliban', the presence of sanctuaries in Eastern Afghanistan for terrorists such as Mullah FM, terrorists that have massacred hundreds of Pakistani security forces and civilians in cross-border attacks from Afghanistan, would constitute 'US/Afghan State Support for terrorists attacking Pakistan'.

So before accusing Pakistan of 'State support' the US/Afghans need to eliminate the terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil responsible for the massacres of hundreds of Pakistanis.
