‘If US cracks down on H1B visas, we’ll be happy to have Indians relocate to Mexico’: Melba Pria

It depends. Monterrey is a very nice place...best part of Mexico I would say. Guadalajara and parts of Mexico city (suburbs esp) are quite nice too.

I am sure they have more such nice parts. South Africa has some nice parts too.

But given a choice between them, most sensible Indians will decide to stay back in India.

Um there are plenty of nasty crime-ridden parts in the US too. When you go for expat job, you will obviously be living in a more safe, secure area....and not in the drug cartel areas of Mexico.

There are a number of tier A city of India (or any tier A globally) level places in Mexico for hosting expats. It wouldn't really be an issue.

But this talk of H1-B being changed drastically is big fear mongering, mostly to divert some hot cash in the stock market so it can be sold before correction happens later in the year or next year.

Mexico is not an worthwhile option for most sensible Indians. They would rather go to Dubai.

mexico is not unsafe... and many indians will go to work given a chance.. although I doubt anybody will actually settle down there.
