If Nepalese get visa free entry to India then why not Bangladeshis?

Once you start a thread you should give reply to the one who make good points.

Thats pure racism, why doesnt india give visa free entry to Bangladeshi people
I whole heartedly support Banglsdeshi people on this

India made a mistake 1000+ years ago and gave visa free entry to you-know-who and you see the results today:-)

which treaties. please elaborate more

The first one was the Sugauli treaty, between the King of Nepal and the East India company, following the Anglo-Nepalese war.
The salient points were that the treaty is going to mark an era of perpetual friendship and non-aggression, and the King will remain within the boundaries of his kingdom and acknowledge the East India Company.

Well, after the rebellion of 1857, the East India Company eventually had to go.

The next treaty was signed in the 1923, a historic one. This one was done to merely renew the mutual understanding for a changed time-period.
This treaty also ensured an ever-lasting era of mutual friendship and co-operation and peace. The King of Nepal will not attack or disturb the King of Sikkim in any way.

One salient feature of both these treaties was, the King of Nepal was not to take any European or American advisor to his court.I am forgetting the reason for that.

The geo-politics changed, India became independent. So, this treaty and the understanding, which was first created in 1816, and then renewed in 1923, had to be rephrased again.

You see, there is a history of hundreds of years behind this and the reasons behind actions are not always as shallow as anybody would like to think.
Both the countries allow citizens of each other to roam freely because there is a sense of mutual trust that has existed for hundreds of years.Once that kind of arrangement is reached with Bangladesh, I don't see any reason why we will be having a free-Visa regime with Bangladesh as well. But, the time is not now.

Iambangali again with a stupid thread :hitwall:
We have very good relations with Nepal and have treaty with them for access.
Bangladeshis are not allowed in India i don't even support their entry with Visa 8-)
Phir bhi chala toh RAW hi rahi hai thodi izaat toh rakhni padegi Lungis ki :p:

Ohh I am quite sure you do.

when did nepalis said they can't live with Indians ?

many bangalis said it in 1940's muslims and hindus they got their land they should stay their.

Bangladeshis have many relatives in India. There are families where husband is Indian and wife is Bangladeshi. Many Nepalese are culturally mongoloid people but Bangladeshis have Indian origin. Its practically humanly impossible to seal the border because of the nature of it. You can allow Nepalese because they are Hindus but can't allow Bangladeshis because its a Muslim country. That's racism.

Bangladeshis plz follow one child policy strictly ..you dont have land mass to support already existing population ..send educated productive human resource which can add up to our social fabric and economy then we can happily accept you ..but presently a strict no no

i would any day in my life trust a nepali or s bhutani....over bangaladeshi..
india was divided over religion....east pakistanii wanted a seperate country for themselves, now they have it... what more they want...
india is a hindu majority country and i would like it be it this way 1000's of year from now too...

the concerns are valid indeed, but open borders is not the answer, at least for now. Probably easier process for obtaining Visa should help.
