What's new

If invited, India must send troops to Kabul

India's policy on deploying boots on the ground in foreign countries has always been firm that we'd only deploy troops under the UN flag

Wait... I recall I..P..K..R??...No....I..P...K...S...no ...no IPKF..That's it.. IPKF was it International Peace Keeping Force...Indus Peace keeping....?

I been on PDF too long.... :tsk:

NEVER and under NO CIRCUMSTANCES.
Opinions are one thing . India's policy, is ,remains and will continue to remain, no boots on Afghan soil.
Not under any circumstances.

Atleast india have learned the lesson. Actually india been invaded like a gazilion times by afghans and indians know it well. This also closes the doors for indian dreams in Afghanistan through to CARs. There is a limit to what u can do sitting far away, while the ground is in control of others.

Brother mine,

It is the first phase of valiant, brave Indian deployment...50.000 to secure Kabul for the bazari Kabuliz...

Then Indians can surge in waves of 50.000z... making their force upto 200.000 Indian troops and an equal number of Indians in civil cloths...

I support transit route through PakSoil againt Intl. rates...but troops need to go through Persia or by air in non military planes...

Indian the 3rd EconomicPower in the world
... it can afford even a half a million troops plus fees for Bazari Kabuliz...

Imagine valiant Indian fighting with Taliban... UNSC seat is a given the day first batch of 50.000 Indians land in Kabulistan!

The Might and Courage of India shall be proven for centuries to come!

The Rise of Great SuperPower India in Kabulistan!

True, We Can take their equipment and transport and their troops can go via Chabhar Port since Persia is so keen to host them anyway, Its win-win, we

In my understanding, Pak already have strong hold in Afg in some form outside/inside Kabul.

If india lands in Afg/kabul, we may have chance to see both army's personnels into one on one fight and skirmishes in a third party land. Or both will have free ground to fight through proxies/local manpower.

If this happens, Our Nuke Detterence looks like vading from the scene or getting irrelevent.
I think Enemies of Pakistan Finally have come to the point to use Kabulis against Pakistan at a whole new Level. Possibly Jointly operating with them.

This could be another episode similar to Syria (where Everyone is free to fight with everyone) but here its gonna be Pak Vs Ind.
I dont think Pak have financial muscle to handle this much huge proxy war.

I'm talking about recent times

You said always ..always implies eternal ..never changing...fixed...non negotiable

Unfortunately Afganistan is a gone case...It is the people of the country who creates a nation...But here is Afganistan, people are fighting with each other...Apart from God, no one can bring better life for them..

How else will it achieve the Akhand Bharat dream?

India should get militarily involved in other countries. Why not start with Afghanistan? I'm sure it can garner a lot of support for this project in Afghanistan and throughout the world.

I know but I wanna hear from an Indian.

They can't even fight countries like Bangladesh or Srilanka and they dream of fighting another regional power like Pakistan or a global power like China.

If India wishes to deploy its troops in Afghanistan there should be clear aims not wishy washy like the last deployment in Srilanka when they fought with their hands tied not willing to offend Indian Tamil sensitivities. It took Rajiv Gandhi’s brutal assassination for Indian Tamils to relent and distance themselves from Sri Lankan Tamil militancy.

Same will be case in Bangladesh. Indian Bangla populace will not wish any harm to their Bangla cousins.

Pak’s strategic location ensures its survival. China needs it now for CPEC.

These brown RSS Nazi's are only good at venting frustration. After 2 decades these fools remembered that participating in Afghan war is a must LOL

I'm sure India won't send troops to Afghanistan.

I am sure you will if you really care about your Afghan brothers.

Pakistan's strong Military & strategic weapons ensure it's survival not location. Being neighbour of a country like Afghanistan is a challenge in itself. Coming back to topic, I don't expect Indian deployment in Afghanistan especially when US is leaving. The best time when this could have been possible was after 911 when India offered US it's airbases. The most it can do now is to lend some technical assistance similar to what India did for Najib after soviet withdrawal.
