Lol!! pooping in the open doesn't increases the size of the economy...it might be healthy for the person practicing it and economical as well...but unhealthy for the others and the masses, the rivers and water courses, drinking water, environment and yes...stunted children is also caused by open defecation...was reading an article.

And decreasing it is an uphill task...rural people don't likes toilets in there homes, it is cultural and traditional as well, also people living in slums in urban areas in India like Mumbai have no toilets...one reason for constant foul smell and sewer like stench in Mumbai...all over the place.
