IAS officer cites Article 25 as TN govt stops him from prayer meets

So if you become a trustee of a temple, you are not forwarding a religion? When they go to public occasions and speak greatly about religious themes (greatness of Gita or Rama or Krishna), is it not forwarding one religion? Why are you feeling threatened? It is part of every service, it's ok. Id he says good things about Christianity, I'm ok. But if he said something AGAINST another religion, I think it's inappropriate and he should be removed.

Have you heard a Christian preachings ?But I heard a lot and was in a convent school until 7th stad for schooling.
Their preachings always have a hateful way towards other religion. This is a case in a full literacy educated state Kerala.
What would be the situation in a backward ,illiterate state like TN?

AFAIK Hindu officers didnt do that when they werer in service. After that they can do anything they want.
But in service preachings is totally unjustifiable.

That is exactly my point- don't tell me about 'Christian preachings', talk to me about this guy. If he has promoted his religion, it's fine. But while doing that if he has said something against another community, it is anti- constitutional. My recommendation is to not forget that this man is otherwise an extremely honest and upright officer. The accusation may have been made by corrupt elements- we will steal the money and if you try to stop us we will use religion to attack you.

If his love for Jesus is affecting his work, then it is fair to fire him but if he is doing it in his personal capacity with out affecting his job then he has every right to continue with his work.
this quote must also be because of the love of Jesus : One of his allegations that Uttarakhand floods and disasters were “a sign of wrath of gods on Hindu sinners” had kicked up a storm :)

very honest indeed : One of his allegations that Uttarakhand floods and disasters were “a sign of wrath of gods on Hindu sinners” had kicked up a storm

If this is what he has indeed said then he was certainly wrong as any person holding such position shouldn't be making such of statements...
